Taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm lens on a static tripod
ISO-1600 for 30 seconds, set on continuous for an hour. Shot in RAW then converted into TIFFs.
Images stacked with 1 dark frame using the new version 7 of StarStaX. The dark frame bug has now been fixed so I wanted to test it out.
When I was trying shooting a meteor shower, I didn't get many meteors, but got this beautiful startrails with reflections in the water, though Polaris was out of scope. Photo taken near Pitt Lake, Pitt Meadows, BC, Canada.

i went out last night to do some lightpainting, when i noticed the sky was very nice ,lots of stars so i took one shot 528 second exposure to try and get a bit movement in the stars, even captured a shooting star on this shot

This Church of Ireland building always looks great under moonlight. I'd gone out because the aurora stats were favourable but nothing showed up. Plan B was to photograph the Church at night.
I used a Nikon Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 G ED lens via an adapter for this. Has a great reputation as a night photography lens and I’ve always enjoyed using it.
