Large white mushroom on the forest floor.
I think it might be Amanita polypyramis, common name many warts.

When you turn over the neighbours fence that fell down over ten years ago you uncover an insect hotel. Roly poly’s(woodlice), centipedes, spiders and insects you never even knew existed! Although they blend harmoniously in colour and shape with their surroundings, their erratic movements capture the wonder and mystery of their own personal civilisation. Subverting the colours, I attempt to illuminate the eye-catching movements of insects through the use of a vivid candy like colour palette. I recall as a child my mother bringing all sorts of bugs to me and my brother to gaze upon. It is only now however, and possibly the result of lock-down, that I have truly become able to admire and appreciate these creatures.
This is really starting to bug me being trapped indoors, I'm grateful for the garden, a luxury many did not have during these uncertain times. Accompanying the bugs are an assortment of magnified leaves, native to this space. Yet these leaves are adorned with the patterns found in the natural environment of the English renter. Frosted windows and wallpaper motifs become the veins of the leaves, an amalgamation of what a man and a bug call home. Come take a gander through the garden, through the bright colours and towering leaves, journeying through the magnifying glass into the world of the bugs!
Starting a new #epp project and plan on using all of my favorites in my #lapassacaglia Quilt, including Liberty, low volume....and of course scrappy!! So many inspiring examples out there and ready to get started! #karenslapassacaglia #millefiori
So for fun, I pulled a still out of the 4K video I shot of the start of the 2019 Steamboat Classic. The image is cropped a bit to boot so it's 3054x1718 - so a little less than my 2005 Nikon D70's 6MP resolution. And it somewhat looks like it... oh well. Shutter speed is still important - even in a 4K UHD video...
Formerly Vons. In 2022, this former Vons in the Montecito Country Mart started a year-long renovation, which included a conversion to Pavilions. The use of the high-end banner appeals to the higher income shoppers in the area. This remodel finally occurred after a couple years of legal constraints due to issues involving new signage for the store, since the existing Vons sign was grandfathered in. The new Pavilions sign would legally not have been able to be large enough. Eventually, the city caved in and allowed the larger signs, allowing the renovations to proceed.
This Pavilions is on the smaller side, with not much room for a larger supermarket in the area. As part of the size constraint, this Pavilions has its pharmacy in a separate storefront, along with a limited amount of health and beauty products in an adjacent plaza called Coast Village Walk. The pharmacy as a Vons previously had a space closer to the store, however it moved into a new space in 2014 that was previously occupied by a small bookstore called Read N Post.
This Vons also underwent a major renovation and expansion in 2011, when it was renovated to Lifestyle. The remodel was previously planned in 2008, but experienced delays until 2011. As part of this, Vons performed a similar move to the former ThriftiMart turned Vons in Ventura I previously posted, expanding into a vacant storefront next door to make room for an expanded liquor department. Unlike the other store, this one only holds the liquor department. When this store converted to Pavilions, the larger than usual liquor department fit in well to Pavilions business model.
