I thought I'd dust off my KMZ Start because I hadn't used it for a few years.
Taken last autumn when the birch tree in the garden still had its leaves.
52 1/2 weeks of 2009 (week #1: start)
From a distance, I saw this conversation starting. They didn´t notice me taking the photo. It was at New Year´s Eve.
Every new year is a new start, a new challenge, a new box of hopes and dreams. Let's go. Let's follow these rails.

On the left in this close up shot is a fully ripened Quince fruit. On the right in a half pint jar is cooked and vacuum sealed Quince Jam.
The quince fruit was an integral part of traditional Greek culture, being given to the bride and groom at weddings to bring their marriage good fortune.

Starting Our Garden!
Sean advised Stu to take advantage of all the leaves that had fallen off the Maple Trees in our backyard. He is dumping a huge pile onto the grass in the sunny area and will lace the leaves with squash seeds. We should see some lovely organic Spaghetti Squash from this area by next fall.

This is the start of the third year, so it seemed appropriate to use a camera called "Start".

I guess I'll just begin again
You say, "can we still be friends?"
If I was scared, I would
And if I was pure, you know I would
And if I was yours... (and I'm not)
Now I'm ready to start
I would rather be wrong
Than live in the shadows of your song
My mind is open wide
And I'm ready to start.

Prior to this game, the last time I saw the Canadiens was in April of 2009 which means that most of the players on the team back then were no longer Canadiens. Out of this starting lineup, only Plekanec and Markov were Canadiens in 2009.
We stayed overnight at Jinshanling Hotel and started earlly in the morning after a good breakfast. We took the cable car up and first went towards the Simatai section, which is older and more rough and crumbly at places. The weather was fantastic, a bit hot, but better than the rain we had the day before! After a few hours walking towards Simatai we hit a very steep climb and the steps were having loose stones. Looking further it seemed to only be getting more challenging and as the wall at the Simatai section was under renovation, we decided this was a good point to turn back to where we came from. We reached back to the starting point and then walked towards Gubeikou section. That was a much easier walk as the wall is about 100 - 200 years newer and in that era they used broader bricks/stones that were more even. We walked a few watchtowers and then headed back to the cable car to be in time for the last one back (which is around 5pm).
