Mallard in the winter sun

I had a visitor in my garden the other morning. This male sparrowhawk had just eaten a bird (believe it was either was woodpigeon or a collared dove, only feathers remained). He then sat in this tree for more than 20 minutes. A beautiful bird!! (Picture taken through the kitchen window )
