Sometimes you just have to stop and look at the beauty around you. Off in the distance is my daughter, on the beach at Point Pelee National Park. This dawn sky was so amazing, that time just seemed to stand still for one to take in this sight.

Checking out The Barre Cross on our way to more blueberries. You can't see much of the structure while in it (without a drone, anyway), but you can see it on Google Earth.

Jutting out into the Pacific Ocean from the spectacular Big Sur Coast, the Point Sur Lighthouse stands as a silent sentinel to a by-gone era.
Point Sur, a National Historic Landmark, is the only complete turn-of-the-century light station open to the public in California.
From 1899 until 1974, families lived and worked in the buildings atop Point Sur. Today the place is a ghost town.
The unique stone lighthouse still guides ships with its light, though it is now totally automated.

I got soaking wet, but it was all worth it !
Unfortunately, the rainbow is getting a bit lost :(.
but imagine trying to farm there and putting the livestock in those barns.
We made a slight detour on the way back to the airport at the well photographed Milarrochy Bay tree in the hope of some high water.
This is a Stand Up to Cancer pin badge that I have had for many years. I usually have it pinned to my purse.
