20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
Let us hope 2024 will be a "stacked" lucky year for all. We need it. No war, no climate detour... we need so much luck...
This is a B&W photo of a stacked pile of old car tires that I photographed behind a local garage. The cold temperatures froze the rain water pooled inside one of them.
Wahrscheinlich Buntstieliger Helmling (Mycena inclinata).

Sea stacks along the Redwood coast north of Ft. Bragg, CA showed well in the morning light on this day in October, 2024.

Taken 9:21-9:29PM, using a Fujifilm X-T5, 16-55mm f/2.8 lens @ f/8 @ 55mm iso 160, 30 sec exp, I stacked 13 images over a 8 minute period and lightened in Photoshop.
Despite developing rain, fireworks were in full swing.
Heavy rains began ~9:30PM. Received nearly half an inch during the next hour.
Fujifilm X-T3, 16-55mm f/2.8. Stack of 7 frames from movie mode @ 4fps (exp 0.25 sec).

This was my prize for a lightning chase that was a bust. It turned out to be an evening of many rainbows, including this beautiful and brilliant short stack over the Manzano Mountains. It was so dreamy with the pouring rain in the background yet interfering with the sharpness of the lines. Los Lunas, New Mexico USA
This will be my first in a series of at least 3 rainbow compositions that I shot during this sunset. At least I intend to do that.
SWELL Sculpture Festival. 'Stacked Chairs' by Alexander Piperides (Qld)
Stacked Chairs is an assembly of found chairs, portraying a column like structure. Although each chair has its own individual memory and function, they have become dependent on one another; the failure of one chair could result in the failure of the whole system. I would like to think of this similar to our current lives; where we are all at some stage or another, in the midst of various responsibilities, whether intentional or not. (the artist)
