In 2012 alone, nighty eight (98) income-generation activities were supported by DCPSF that included different groups, such as women, youth and various tribes. A total of 92 percent of sampled community members responded that trust and confidence was restored in the communities where the DCPSF projects were operating. Over 80 percent of sampled Darfuris responded that they are satisfied with reconciliation mechanisms, experiencing increased levels of peace and stability. Despite of the increasing overall intensity of conflicts and security incidents in 2012, sample survey and reports from 21 ongoing projects, 2012 indicates that the communities with the DCPSF strengthened their resilience to conflicts and enjoyed peace and stability where activities promoting early recovery could take place. More than 146,500 people have used the community-based conflict resolution mechanisms benefited directly and some 2,425,620 people benefitted indirectly in which the efforts spread to some 160 communities in 2012. DCPSF has supported 61 educational and 7 health initiatives. Forty-five (45) civil society organizations (CSOs) improved planning, conflict sensitivity and peace building activities. Through DCPSF, 25,302 children were newly enrolled in schools in Darfur and 109 water sources including boreholes, hand pumps, wells, and hafirs through consultative processes.
Despite of tough security situation and access, DCPSF has gone beyond the defined milestones by achieving 14 out of 17 milestones defined for 2012. It requires a continuation of funds for the period of time to brought back the communities to pre-conflict situation as a significant amount of anchoring are still in an intensive care. UNDP through DCPSF and its implementing partners backed by the donors, assures to set new goals, standards and achievements in the year 2014 and will ensure accountability of each penny spend from contribution of the donating countries.

Somewhere I’ve read that banks employed Classical detailing in the façade to impart the sense of stability and permanence. The Bank of LaCrosse (Mecklenburg County, Virginia) is no exception, a small town bank exhibiting the Classical features that seemed standard for early banks. I have no date for the structure but guess before 1925; I also don’t know the building material. The façade is framed by four pilasters instead of columns, one at each corner and the remaining two on either side of the entrance. The stylized capitals are elongated and grooved. Above the overhang are recessed panels, functioning as extensions of the pilasters. The overhang has prominent rectangular brackets which resemble large dentil. Below that at each corner is a circular floral design and the name of the bank. A broken pediment is above the entrance with an urn (in funerary sculpture it symbolized immortality, hence permanence of the institution). There's an ornamental swag pattern in the panel between the two large brackets, which support the pediment, and below each bracket are long narrow vertical panels. The doorway itself consists of narrow grooves. The windows are fixed and are enclosed within a large panel between the pilasters in a set pattern (except for the window above the entrance): the second-story windows are arched and have recessed areas, simulating a surround with a bracket form as the keystone; the first story windows are to either side of the entrance; between the stories is a recessed ornamented rectangular panel and below the first-story windows the panel is raised instead of recessed.

The Irish European Fiscal Compact referendum is planned to be held on 31 May 2012. If passed it will allow Ireland to ratify the European Fiscal Compact by amending its constitution.
The decision to hold a referendum on the Fiscal Compact was made by the Irish government following advice from the Attorney General and was announced by Taoiseach Enda Kenny on 28 February 2012 prior to the signing ceremony.
The referendum was welcomed by opposition parties, with Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams promising to lead a "strong anti-treaty campaign". On 29 February 2012, Éamon Ó Cuív resigned as Fianna Fáil's Deputy leader and Communications spokesperson due to dissatisfaction with his party's position on the referendum.
The bill paving the way for the referendum was published on 28 March 2012. It is officially entitled the Thirtieth Amendment of the Constitution (Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union) Bill 2012, and proposes to insert a new clause in Article 29 of the Constitution.

Motorcycle News Overall Verdict 4/5:
Since 1992 the name FireBlade has conjured visions of a hard-charging superbike with attitude. While this is true of the very first two models, since then the FireBlade became a model of respectability. The 2006-07 model was arguably the best road-going superbike by being fast and bland in the same wheelbase. The 2008 FireBlade comes with attitude from its rev-happy engine, race-like steering (quick, responsive), stability and supremely balance chassis. For get its blunted looks, this Blade will cut it.
Engine 4/5:
When Honda set out to lose 2.5kgs from the weight of the previous model’s engine, you could almost second-guess how responsive and quick and easy quick it would be for the engine to spin up to its new 13,000rpm redline. Responsive and precise throttle control makes for good wheelies, blinding corner exit speed and neat shot of adrenaline. There’s still a good dose of midrange torque, but top end zing is what the Blade delivers. The new lump also features a slipper clutch – a first since the HRC WSB special RC45 – and it works; get the braking over and snick down three and let the lever out. Perfect.
Ride & Handling 5/5:
In stock trim the suspension settings are set on the soft side for road use, but on the track launch at Qatar is soon showed these settings needed upgrading. The suspension damping is only slightly revised for 2008 but any adjustments make a marked difference. What the new Blade has is a chassis so balanced and easy to throw around you could say the Blade is essentially a 600 supersport with the guts of a 1000cc machine. Corner speed is everything here but at the same time the Blade retains its stability mostly due to the revised electronic steering damper.
Equipment 3/5:
This is an area the Blade is lacking in. Ok so it has a slipper clutch, but Honda is the last manufacturer on this particular train. The electronic steering damper isn’t new and although it works it doesn’t have the kudos of Kawasaki’s Ohlins unit. The suspension doesn’t have the latest fad of high and low speed compression damping as per Suzuki’s GSX-R1000 and no fancy motorised inlet manifolds like the Yam’ R1. There will be aftermarket carbon fibre panels and a seat and tank bag, though.
Quality & Reliability 4/5:
Marked down a notch here because of the Honda CBR1000RR’s not so attractive fairing, which, to be honest, isn’t so bad in the flesh. Besides if you look past this you’ll see the fasteners and fixtures are all the usual quality stainless or moulded sections that fit with the simplicity of square peg in a very big round hole. Then there’s the exhaust; a shorty item a la MotoGP and under the engine, but it’s finished to mimic the belly pan (shaped and painted) and has an exhaust valve and a muffler flap inside to reduce noise.
Value for money 5/5:
The Suzuki GSX-R1000 has sold well in 2007, despite not being the most sorted bike because of a) its lower price against performance, and b) it was available right from day one. The Honda is dearer, will be available early on but, more importantly it handles much better and has a quality feel to its build and this more than justifies its price, so Suzuki et al should look out in up and coming 2008 sales war.

Key stability work and road improvements will soon begin at Ten Mile Slide, as preparations continue toward the long term solution on one of the most technically challenging slide sites in the province. Ten Mile Slide is located within Xaxli'p's Fountain Indian Reserve boundary, approximately 17 kilometres northeast of Lillooet. The active slide surrounds Highway 99, which is vital to the local and regional economy as the primary connector between Lillooet and Kamloops.
The Province of British Columbia is investing heavily in long-term slope stabilization measures for the site. Once completed, the project will result in a reliable, permanent two-lane paved roadway, improving safety for people travelling along this section of Highway 99.

The lower,basement level of the plant remains the only stable area of the plant and has not changed since my first visit 6mos. ago.Access is easy despite a fence that was put up on property 5 years ago.But there are an increasing number of breaks in the floor above from the elements coming in from the collapsed roof. The center around the re-inforced central elevator section has also totally collapsed as the result of the '93 fire that destroyed buildings across the street and damaged this bldg.Time is not a friend of this place.

Despite of the increasing overall intensity of conflicts and security incidents in 2012, sample survey and reports from 21 ongoing projects, 2012 indicates that the communities with the DCPSF strengthened their resilience to conflicts and enjoyed peace and stability where activities promoting early recovery could take place. More than 146,500 people have used the community-based conflict resolution mechanisms benefited directly and some 2,425,620 people benefitted indirectly in which the efforts spread to some 160 communities in 2012. DCPSF has supported 61 educational and 7 health initiatives. Forty-five (45) civil society organizations (CSOs) improved planning, conflict sensitivity and peace building activities. Through DCPSF, 25,302 children were newly enrolled in schools in Darfur and 109 water sources including boreholes, hand pumps, wells, and hafirs through consultative processes.
Despite of tough security situation and access, DCPSF has gone beyond the defined milestones by achieving 14 out of 17 milestones defined for 2012. It requires a continuation of funds for the period of time to brought back the communities to pre-conflict situation as a significant amount of anchoring are still in an intensive care. UNDP through DCPSF and its implementing partners backed by the donors, assures to set new goals, standards and achievements in the year 2014 and will ensure accountability of each penny spend from contribution of the donating countries.

The Darfur Communities Peace and Stability Fund (DCPSF) donors visited the project site areas in West Darfur region from 24th to 26th of November. The donor monitoring team visited out reached areas and held meetings with NGO consortiums and government officials.
In 2012 alone, nighty eight (98) income-generation activities were supported by DCPSF that included different groups, such as women, youth and various tribes. A total of 92 percent of sampled community members responded that trust and confidence was restored in the communities where the DCPSF projects were operating. Over 80 percent of sampled Darfuris responded that they are satisfied with reconciliation mechanisms, experiencing increased levels of peace and stability. September 7, 2011 -- Bringing together voices from Afghanistan, the Netherlands and the United States, “Empowering Women in Afghanistan: Stability Through Rural Development,” highlighted the state of Afghan women in rural areas, the promotion of stability through rural assistance to women, and ways in which America and Europe can work together to empower them.
The conference -- organized by the U.S. Embassy in The Hague and The Atlantic Commission -- highlighted the advantages of directing aid to programs for rural women.
