Squeegee has a beautiful bullseye pattern on his sides rather than the typical tabby stripes. He has the prettiest markings of any orange tabby I've ever seen. I know, I know...I'm biased!

I'm finally getting the one last angle I haven't gotten yet!

My cat, Squeegee, loves to play, and lately, he has discovered toilet paper! Every morning, I give him his pain pill and then he's on a roll...or should I say, the roll's on HIM! LOL! We call it "playing paper", and he's a riot!

The scream of Cristiano Ronaldo after winning the Ballon d'Or 2014, a spontaneous cry of joy to celebrate yet another victory in his extraordinary career.

The painterly effect was achieved using a small squeegee like a spatula to paint and pouring more colors on the screen printing frame; in particular the colors more or less luminous, have been used to give prominence to the subject. Ink smear and any out-of-register prints are purely desired. For the work 4 screen printing frames were used

Use the squeegee (in this case, the gift card) to push any excess moisture and bubbles out from under the shield. Wipe it off with a lint-free cloth as it comes out from under the sides.

Also, be sure to let it rest for about 24 hours. When we finished applying the shield to my a700, there were quite a lot of microbubbles and imperfections left underneath the surface. 99% of them totally cleared out by the next day.

As usual we've been taking long walks on the lake shore with our two dogs and the strays that congregate along the lake. Leyla is thrilled to be able to play with her old buddies, but she is just as happy to head home with us after a romping session. Here Blackie and Leyla jointly run with a red plastic squeegee. In comments is a photo of Leyla and Blackie dividing a stick. (There are comments from someone in the family about what a nice addition Blackie would be to the family....)

Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord Printing

If you’re looking for lanyards for your business, event or as promotional goods we have a number of types of Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord to choose from. Each is made from polyester, but the way the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord is made differs, depending on the final finish you are looking for.

Flat polyester lanyards are some of the most popular in our range. The polyester is woven into a long length, which is then cut using a hot knife that seals the cut ends to prevent fraying. You can personalize the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord by choosing the color of the material. Your own logo and artwork can be printed onto the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord to customize it using the advance printing technique. The benefit of the flat polyester Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord is that you can choose a width of up to 25mm, giving you a broad canvas on which to promote your company / Organization.

Flat weave lanyards are manufactured from high quality polyester and customized using your artwork and text, which is woven into the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord rather than printed. This makes it perfect for harsh environments, where the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord is likely to be subject to heavy wear and tear.

If you’re looking for a more economical choice, choose our tubular polyester lanyard. They are made from the same high quality polyester as our standard lanyards but the material is tube stitched. These lanyards can also be advance printed techniques with your own logo.

For a more luxurious finish, the satin woven lanyards are made using a finer weave, which gives a smooth, shiny finish. Once again, your logo and choice of text can be printed onto the Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord to personalize it to your business or event.

Advance printing is a technique used on the majority of our custom lanyards. This is an age-old technique that uses ink and a stencil, supported by a woven mesh. Ink is moved across the advance using a squeegee-type blade, forcing the ink through the open mesh and onto the material beneath. To create images with multiple colors, it’s necessary to create layers as only one color can be printed at a time. Many items of clothing are printed using our advance print technique.

If you have multi-colored logos and/or want to include vibrant images with a photo-quality resolution, a dye sublimation Lanyard / Ribbon / Strip / Rope / Cord would be the perfect choice. Dye sublimation is a method of computerized printing that uses a combination of heat and pressure to permanently transfer dyes into the fabric as a gas, which then solidifies and becomes part of the fiber of the lanyard.

There were people on the big tent canopies at DIA who were obviously in charge of cleaning them off. We all saw their feet and brooms or squeegees while going through the security line at the airport. Wouldn't you just love to have that job?

Some friends getting ready to make some dough

Anyone who has driven through the Klamath Falls, OR or Tulelake, CA area in spring or summer will attest to the dense clouds of bugs rising from marshes and lakes. Many of these end up smashed on window shields and grills to become an encrusted green slime difficult to remove with a gas station squeegee. However dowitchers, stilts, snipes, etc dine endlessly on a smorgasbord of floating insects.

The sheds. A cluster of kitchen cupboard hinges (one item), a tiny hand drill (we have a better one), three kitchen cupboard legs (one item), a riveting hammer (I have two normal hammers), a rubbish plastic clamp, a rusty tobacco tin, a window squeegee (we have a better one), a broken giant ketchup pump, and a caravan towing mirror (no plans to get a caravan).

I have taken hundreds of pictures of the Kimmel Center. In fact, someone recently asked me if there was an angle of the building I hadn't yet taken a picture of. I thought for a moment, then replied, "yes, there is ONE, but I have to wear a harness to get it!" Well, after waiting and wondering and wishing for 5 years, I finally got a ride in the lift that takes the window cleaners up on the roof. They fitted me with a full-body harness, showed me how to hold onto my rope, and flipped the switch on the lift's motor. I spent about an hour up there in the blazing sun and filthy grime. Those window cleaners are a unique blend of daredevil and perfectionist. They are particular about their squeegees, they make jokes about lift motor malfunctions, they clip, unclip and hop around up there like acrobats. It's truly impressive. My trip up there with them was a huge highlight of my 7 years here at the Kimmel. And I finally got the shot I was missing!

I'll post the photos I took of the cleaners on the Kimmel Center's flickr later this week.

It was sunny with showers today and loads of skaters were about for Marc Churchills birthday. Adam hates Peef normally but came out for Marc. Luckily everytime it rained or hailed it wasn't for too long and Gavin has a squeegee so it got dried up fast. So actually got a full day session in.

(Slides 4-12) In producing a lot of my art work …

I have used a silk screen squeegee to apply the paint, building the painting up in layers – some layers use a calligraphic style using pen, paint, and pencil or combining found objects, then applying further layer of paint applying wet on wet. The resulting images range from glossy smooth highly finished layers of paint to smooth almost out-of-focused feel to my painting and heavily textured, brittle to the point of crumpling impasto surfaces which fragment the colour and light in a pixelated way in some of the pieces. The colours that I use are uncompromising. I will use pure colours straight from the acrylic tube and others are subtle variation of hue, tint and shade. With a spectrum of colours used the spontaneity in the pieces come from the resulting effects of natural occurrence and precision from knowing exactly what will happen if I apply certain colours and pull, draw, push and splatter further layers of paint. The expressionist act of mark making and using the process to explore my art with very deliberate gestures ultimately determines the final piece. I have gained inspiration from artists such as Gerhard Richter, Fiona Rae through to Charles Rennie Macintosh and taken inspiration from art and artists that have influenced them such as Japonism. I am a versatile artist and enjoy researching different forms of art to help further my understanding of processes and techniques.

London's squeegee merchants should come down here, methinks.

I wanted something really sharp to force the ink through since I'm using a vintage sheet as my screen.

Feel it. Several coats of fluorescent enamel paint applied with the soon to be famous scrap plastic squeegee method. It turned out really nice. I might have gone a touch overboard though.

A rapid flurry of broom and squeegee work cleared 1500 square feet of the hospital of mud and muck in one day.

These rolls were the first to be developed using guidance from www.rogerandfrances.com with their excellent advice on reduing fixing time with the spot-test (now down to 2-min fix) and using COLD water for washing to prevent emulsion scratching on final squeegee.

30s presoak in COLD tap-water, NO distilled water as Stourport tapwater is just fine (although remembering Roger & Francis advice to use filtered water for final wash when I move to hard-water Malvern). No stop-bath, just swill out twice with cold tap-water.
