I always love finding these toadstools and they were just starting to surface after a little rain over a recent weekend.

Back to Bangkok, the view from our hotel terrace (with pool) of our hotel, not too bad, right ? As far as technique is concerned: this is an assembly of several vertical shots, with for each of them various exposures merged, and a final tilt shif effect... In short, some work to get this result ;o)

This is the inside of a Brussel Sprout, with the leaves packed in there so solidly I had to slice it fairly thin to let any light through! Quite a maze in there!

Reverse Lens macro, but at the farthest possible distance, so not as macro as it might be. This is about 2/3 inch of the sprout.

The best part of this was that the chickens had no idea what to do with this sprout stalk. Then the bunny hops up like all hey guys let me show you how it's done. A lot of entertainment out of a stalk of brussel sprouts.

Some interesting-looking horseradish sprouting on the first day of spring!

I was given a homemade sprout kit to grow my own sprouts... this is my first born.

Macro Mondays-Seeds

I buy only the sprouted seeds, they're cleaned and ready to cook.

Again so sorry for not commenting on your photos...it's 2 weeks to go and we head to our new home in Upstate, NY. I'm exhausted but happy and excited. Thanks for beIng so supportive with your amazing comments.

This garlic was lurking in the back of the fridge, I thought it was worth a photo before it went in the bin.

A quick shot of this onion that is sprouting new shoots, before I use it in my cooking.

Small leaves plucked from a tall hedge in the front yard. These leaves were about 3" (76.2mm) from tip to tip when freshly plucked, but shriveled closer to 2" (50.8mm) span when I took this shot.

As I am not a botanist, I cannot identify the plant species (and link to a Wikipedia page, as is my custom).

The Harry Potter CMF Series 2 has some great minifigs, with some even better accessories. Professor Pomona Sprout is not one of those.

The figure itself is a nice update on the 2011 minifig, but the Screaming Mandrake she's holding, is not the one she is packaged with. (It's the one from the last series that came with Neville; Who's getting a catch-up lesson today, because Pomona is an awesome teacher like that)

Instead, the Pomona minifig includes a printed 1x1 round brick, two of the green plant stems, and whilst she has a wand, she doesn't have a handle for her cauldron.

As AFOLs, we've come to expect a lot from the CMF minifigures, so those little omissions count for a lot. It means this is one for completionists only.

Because for the Hogwarts fans,

with the ever expanding range of Hogwarts classrooms, it's only a matter of time till we get a Herbology Classroom, and an updated Professor Pomona, which means it might be worth holding on.

The horror of my childhood was any time these appeared on the dinner table. I assure you, creamed brussel sprouts only get worse the longer you let them sit on your plate.

Handle With Care for Macro Mondays

I don't have a green thumb. Every time I plant flower seeds, they don't come out.

Last week, I planted new seeds in my flowerpot. Now there are some small sprouts! I wonder if they will grow well....
