Mike - who lives in Worcester - was taking photos in the sixties: same time as I made my start in photography, and has kindly made these pictures available to share.

Taken south of Santa Fe, NM. Sprites just above satellite trail. The faint glow below the splites on the horizon is the lightning from a distant thunderstorm.
35mm lens @ f/2.0 with iso=1000 for 8 secs was used.
Here we see the first steps in the restoration, with the engine, front wings, valance and bonnet all removed. The engine will eventually be replaced by a 1796cc 16 valve twin cam K-series from a MG TF 135. Ironically that car was also under going an engine transplant.
The Coca-Cola company sprite appears to be hiding behind the glass, ready to pounce in this repainted ghost sign. Joplin, Missouri.
