It is springtime as the trees are leafing out as the days are warming up. On this river birch two long catkins hang from a branch which will be producing major pollen causing the hay fever to increase and the pharmacy workload to increase.

On this gorgeous spring Saturday, I went to Northeast Park. I brought along the camera and snapped a few springtime pictures. Unfortunately my wife had to work or I am sure she would have come too.
This statue of a boy "Springtime" was originally in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park for an exhibition in 1949 but was moved subsequently to Glasgow Green (McPhun's Park portion).
The lighting was difficult here for this image. The former Templeton's Carpet Factory building can be seen in the background.

The Templeton's Carpet Factory was built in 1892 and its architect was William Leiper (1839-1916).
Here are some springtime blossoms while out with the dog. Finally beginning to actually look like Spring!
I have not taken many pictures of Dragonflies yet with the new camera. Just playing with Lightroom and shadows. Almost took out the leaf at the bottom but decided to keep it in the picture.
It's a rainy/snowy day here in Edmonton, and I'm missing the cherry blossoms and real spring weather that we experienced in Japan!
