A walk in the spring sunshine through Hidden Valley and across Two Dales Farm.

A Hoverfly on Rhododendrons!

I'm again and again impressed by the great details of the images from the camera, even at large distances.

Tumacacori National Monument is located just north of the border city of Nogales, Arizona/Sonora Mexico. It was made a national monument by Theodore Roosevelt in 1918.

The Tumacacori community of native peoples acquired a Spanish mission in the year 1691. After moving to the other bank of the Santa Cruz RIver, and building several modest mission buildings, The Tumacacori Mission set to work in building this church, around the year 1800. The community gradually worked on the building for nearly 50 years, but it was never finished. The last inhabitants of Tumacacori left in 1848, after a very hard winter, outbreaks of smallpox and measles, relentless Apache raids, and the Mexican revolution against Spanish rule.

With all our wintertime rain, the Arizona desert is bursting with widlflowers this year! These are a kind of succulent with purple flowers- I've seen them termed, "iceplant".

This image was made for Worldwide Pinhole Day, 2010, which took place on April 25th. This is the "official" image I entered into the WWPD gallery.

Oops forgotten the name of this shrub - help?

Photo of the day March 09, 2026 - Flowering quince in bloom.

Spring is a miraculous experience. The whole world comes alive after the winter.

On my way home along the Blue Ridge Parkway, I was pleased to see this rhododendron in full bloom near the often photographed Mabry Mill near Meadows of Dan, Virginia. This is my first time here in the springtime and it was just as nice as autumn. Looks best on a black background, press "L" or click on the photo.

The southbound City of New Orleans is making a service stop in Memphis and there is time to get off the train and walk around. A flowering tree next to the trailing P42DC makes for a nice spring setting. Most of the time Nos. 58 and 59 only have one locomotive so it was unusual for there to be two P42DC units on No. 59 today. (Scanned from a slide)

One evening, during our Disneyland Paris Magical Moments Events Tour, we were treated to a very magical evening at Parc Disneyland that included "Springtime for Mickey" in Central Plaza, "Disney's Dine Under the African Stars" at Hakuna Matata Restaurant in Adventureland and a very special Magical Moments meet-and-greet on Main Street USA. It was such a magical evening that I actually wept afterward.
