I wanted to make this shot for a couple of years now but never made it because; no time when the conditions were perfect, no great conditions when I had time.... well you probably recon it if you are not shooting photo's on a professional base.
But finally everything fell into place and I could frame this gorgeous rural spring scenery.

A rural scene in the scenic Hood River Valley in Oregon. Mount Hood looms large in the distance.

Canterbury Cathedral
Canterbury, England, U.K.
03-27-25
It was my last full day in England. After breakfast in Wotton Under Edge, in the Cotswolds, I drove over 3 hours to Dover, toured Dover Castle, then made a half hour trip up to Canterbury. By then it was past 3pm. I checked into my Bed & Breakfast, then walked north into the historical center of town.
I barely made it to the Cathedral by 4pm, when they stopped admitting visitors. I was the last person to get a ticket before they closed the doors. We were told we could wander around but if we opened a door and stepped outside the Cathedral we wouldn't be let back in.
I didn't realize that the door to the cloisters was an exit door, but I'd already photographed pretty much all the interior space. Since it was so late there weren't too many folks inside after closing. I photographed the Cathedral from all angles, and when I couldn't get back in from the cloisters, I moved around to the other side and got some more shots.
While moving around to the back of the building, I got this shot of the sun as it was about to set, shining through some branches of a tree, with a field of daffodils in the foreground. I didn't even realize it when I took the photo, until I walked around toward the front, that there is a wooden horse sculpture. It's a memorial to the men and horses who perished during WWI, and was dedicated on the centenary in 2018.
My street is so pretty this time of year! I took this from my driveway.

In one frame, everything Springtime came together for me one morning in April. Spring buds were just starting on the bare trees as a farmer tilled his field. The spring planting was only a couple weeks away for what would be the August corn crop. In the distance, Shippensburg school students wrapping up the Spring semester wait at the crossing while a Norfolk Southern train passed through on the Lurgan Branch. Spring means ballast trains are running again, hauling stone cars to and from the quarry in Birdsboro, PA for track projects across the rail network.
Some beautiful light along Seven Bridges Road this week. The wildlife has been sparse but nature rarely disappoints. I’ve been busy cooking up a few ideas while nature is getting ready to cook up a new batch of offspring. This season is a great time for creativity and things anew. It’s also a great time for revisiting some of the things we all tend to lose touch with. Make your Springtime connections! #GreatEgret
Longer days, warmer temperatures, and flowering trees in the northern hemisphere. A time of renewal, new beginnings.
Finally we have some sunny blue and some bud action here in London Ontario.Wow Springtime this year is at least 3 weeks late.Have been craving to get out there and see some Mother Nature action.Let's hope that from here on in it is all good.

Have a safe and happy day dear Flickr friends !
It is still pretty cold here, this morning we had a bit of snow, but these blue beauties encourage us to hold on and hope for warmer weathers.
The expansive grounds of Winterthur are enjoyable to explore. The left portion of this building was the barn and carriage house for the DuPont family. I took an edited guided tour of the main mansion, and will post more photos soon. The $20.00 admission fee (good for the entire property for two days) is well worth it.
