...un angolo del bosco dell'Acquedotto

Pipevine swallowtail

Can you see the window that is reflected in one of the drops?

The warmth of the sun is rapidly melting last week's snow, birds are singing their springtime songs, crows are gathering nesting materials, and trees are forming their spring leaf and flower buds. My yard is filled with bluebirds, and their nest boxes have been cleaned out and ready for them to begin their new families. This bright eyed male was sitting in the cherry tree, waiting for a turn at the mealworm feeder. Backyard bird.

Northern California hillsides sporting a lush carpet of green. An oak tree struggles to hang on for one more season.

Often in life, we forget to slow down and enjoy the splendor of the world around us!

The feilds in Shawsville are in full bloom as NS 4090 and 4079 tackle the Shawsville with a loaded grain train in tow.

Spring is natures way of saying let's party!

Where the magic happens... ;)

SEmetro_2022-03-15__MGP_3302 Great day to find perching Springtime Darners, have never had so many perched one Three of these are different ones

A field in the Northamptonshire countryside as Spring is in full bloom and the greens and yellows are bursting across the landscape

LARGE, please.

A local Lancaster area street somewhat muted in blossoms because of the cold damp Spring we have had... still... I find it impressive.

The pinks and greens of the surrounding vegetation complement the bright yellows of the road lines and two Union Pacific locomotives which are leading a northbound CPKC train of autorack cars into Gravette, AR on a chilly and rainy Saturday, April 5, 2025.

I bought a cheap old brass magic lantern lens to use with a Hasselblad body. I took some Ilford film which expired decades ago and wandered out with the spirit of photographic adventure.

The Lady’s Walk, a path through woodland, near the village of Montacute, Somerset, can be entered from the village, from where the path runs steeply up hill, or the walk can start from Hollow Lane, to walk downhill in the opposite direction. In Spring flowers grow on the woodland floor, celandines, primroses and wood anemones are the earliest, followed by wild garlic and bluebells later. The trees are mainly deciduous including many beeches.

NS 68N, a unit sand train off the CPKC in Chicagoland, is on the move through Butler on main 2 of the NS Chicago main as they pound the diamonds with the former Wabash. They're following 256 after both spent time waiting on Amtrak 40 & 49 to weave through a cluster and two trains to clear off the Wabash before no less than three CPKC trains could finally take the connection onto the Wabash. Based on when they went through Chesterton I left home thinking they could already be into Toledo at 9AM, but I didn't finally get a picture of them until this shot at Butler at 12:03PM! 5/10/2026
