This was dinner last night. We picked it up from a new little Vietnamese / Thai / Chinese restaurant on Kingshighway Blvd. called Ba Le. The sandwich had BBQ pork, cucumber, cilantro and julienne carrots on a super-crusty baguette. The spring rolls had shrimp, pork, cilantro and rice vermicelli. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS!!!
I haven't mentioned but I'm on a 30-day vegetarian diet for religious reasons. It's proved to be a challenge when eating out, especially at Asian restaurants. There's only ever 1-2 choices, really.
This, however was really amazing. You drizzle some of the chilli sauce all over and mix it up. Mmm so delicious, don't think I'd mind eating this even when I go off being vegetarian. The spring rolls were a nice touch. There were taro in there! *drool*

Very happy to discover this dish. 3 different types of spring rolls on vermicelli in little cold soup.
