Fried, with a rich flavor, I think there were some mushrooms which gave them an earthy, dark flavor.
great dim sum had at the plaza restaurant in macau. here are our first three dishes: deep-fried spring rolls (on the left), steamed minced beef with bean curd (the meatballs with ginger on top in the front), and spare ribs with black bean sauce (in the back)
My crane's head is flat, but otherwise I was happy with the way this came out. I selected red because it is a good luck color in Asian cultures.

another very popular Restaurant , Pan-Asian a small chain with few locations. I fund the food is rather disappointing, too safe (water-down) for my taste.High mark for presentations good for couple. dating. this one is on Dundas near Bay, downtown, Toronto
