I made Miranda some spring rolls: the wrappers are only made of rice flour; I stuffed them with carrot, swede, peas, spinach, flageolet beans and a little Chinese five spice; inexpertly wrapped them up and shallow fried them.
They were a hit. And not only with Miranda!
For dinner, I made Vietnamese Spring Rolls! Omg! It was so good and refreshing. The mint and Thai Basil really made it! #springrolls #springroll #vietnamesespringrolls #vietnamesespringroll #shrimp May 23, 2018 at 11:51PM

Went out for Pho last Friday and ended up at Bun Saigon on Spadina. The last time we went out for Vietnamese the MSG in the broth did me in. I opted for the broth-less vermecilli noodles with grilled pork, vegtables and a spring roll on top. Served with a glass of iced coffee and condensed milk. Delicious!
yes, we went to a restaurant called thai tanic. it was delicious. sadie and agnes took us there. it was the longest walk ever on a sore ankle!
Home made spring rolls in canola oil using the recipe from FoodTV, Crash My Kitchen, "It's Not Easy Eating Greens," hosted by Corbin Tomaszeski. Recipe makes 12 spring rolls. Pretty tasty! The 3 tbsp of flour and 1 tbsp of water for the paste (i.e. "glues" in the wrapper) does not work; try 2 tbsp of water. See: www.foodtv.ca/recipes/recipedetails.aspx?dishid=7473
