Its little feet holding steady
Having a great time
Being a bumblebee-kid again
Sitting on the swing
Being dizzy
Nearly falling off
Oooops, falling, falling, falling down to the ground
All the pollen that is collected disappears to the ground, all scattered
It's more where it comes from
So up on the swing again
Why is life so serious
Why not do the crazy and weird stuff you want to do
Maybe you don't even dare to think that you want to do them
Maybe someone will judge you
So what
Maybe they actually are envious that you dare
So take the leap
Grab a swing next time
Or something else
Be a kid again and find the joy
Even though you might not have had a joyful life as a kid
Now you can
You will see that you will find laughter
Because it is fun
It might even be contagious
Maybe we all will eventually understand what life is about
I believe that life is not to have the biggest house and a cabin, or a flat in an exotic place, successful careers, 2.8 kids and a dog, looking smashing, and a stressful life where you grow apart from the one you thought you should share your life with, and having people around you that steals your energy
I believe it is to find ourselves, solve our own stuff, surround ourselves with what and whom we would like to surround ourselves with, find love and give love, being in balance
Then we would make the world to be a happier place too
It's a lovely pink world isn't it
And I am living in it
It's a choice I have made
We all have choices
They can be tough to take
Sometimes impossible to take
All in due time
Things must be settled properly first
Then proceed
Off to the swing you go
I'll join you!

A creative and sunny weekend that smells like spring and was filled with letter writing, taking walks and avoiding work comes to an end, and I am so fulfilled.
This is photo I captured of an early purple orchid, which grows wild in the south of England during the spring. There were a few bluebells scattered about on the forest floor as well, which you can see providing some blue in the bokeh background. It is such a spectacular flower to find, as they are somewhat rare.
deserves to be celebrated with a flickr post =)
Thanks to Lorka for the beautiful texture :)
That is a word I cherish these days.
Even tho we have lots of snow in the garden it's vanishing on the streets.
Marvelous spring feeling 🍀
Charlie helped supervise my work in the flower garden yesterday as I pulled all the rocks from the border and reset them.
Sometimes being a Superviser is really tough work.
And a fella might need to rest a wee bit!
It was a good day for butterflies and hummingbirds, they were everywhere today, buzzing all around us at the Arboretum. We had some light showers yesterday, and expecting more tomorrow, but it looks like it's done a lot of good. We needed some rain.
Again, I never get tired of coming here. Next month I plan on getting us a membership to the Huntington Library & Gardens. I think getting annual memberships to places like this for photographers is always a great investment. It's also a great way to get some exercise, without feeling like it's "exercise".
After a few whirlwind weeks, spring came very quietly and turned April from brown into white into green into sunny days and flowy dresses and walks home in what felt a lot like late summer rain.
On the way out of Pettigrew State Park last week, the sun was starting to rise and I saw this tree at the entrance. I thought the colors were nice, soft pastels.
