Could only make out part of the message on the back which ends with - its a great mistake !

Happiness is cleaning old flowerpots on a sunny afternoon.

An old leather sewing machine liberated from the coblers that closed down in Bevois Valley about 10 years ago. I used it on a few jobs but it was covered up 5 years ago. Time to check it still turns.

I have just given my computer a good clean out and added another cooling fan to improve the cooling and keep it running in tip top condition and performance.

Start of spring illustration including spring fashion, spring cleaning and gardening.

Over the 4 years I've been on Flickr, I've made lots of friends and added lots of contacts. I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy beautiful photos from talented people. My contact list is starting to become unmanageble (and unkempt) for me, and I thought it was about time for a spring clean.

Please do not take it personally if you find yourself no longer on my contact list; the people I have on my list (be it friends or contacts) are there because of one, some or all of the following reasons: (1) I like the photos, (2) 1 like the photo subjects/muse, (3) I like the photography techniques used, (4) I like the style and feel of the photos.

People that have been removed are mainly done so because I haven't seen any recent activity from the stream, and/or if your photos don't fall into any of the categories I've stated above. Please do not send me requests to re-add you; I am trying to keep my contact list in check so it is easier for me to enjoy Flickr, and practically all of my photos are public, so anyone is still able to view them.

Managed to bring my contact list from 411 to less than 250. It only took me all of 4 hours!! XD

Happy Flickr-ing!

They have one of these (exactly the same) in the Coventry Blitz Museum! But I am not going to throw it away! One day I may have a lot of beans to slice!

The weather improving, Mr Fox decided to take his scooter out the garage and give it bit of a spring clean.

Apparently it's rather therapeutic - when Mrs PB's not handling the oil that is!

Lotus Elise - 2015

I've not posted one of this in a while. Taken back in April, after it's spring clean.

Demolition of Shadbolt House, Lyttelton.

House of Prayer, Little Braxted, Essex

The great church artist Ernest Geldart was Rector of Little Braxted from 1883 to 1900, and he built this little chapel beside his Rectory in 1885.

The Little Braxted churchwarden, whom I bumped into by coincidence at Wickham Bishops on the annual churchyard springclean detail, said he thought Geldart had become infirm and couldn't manage the four mile round trip to St Nicholas anymore, but I don't think that can be right. I suspect he had it built when he was Rector, so that he could use it for even more extreme Romanist liturgies than he could reasonably carry out at St Nicholas

This chapel, incidentally, is dedicated as St Mary's House of Prayer.

After a light snowstorm to finish Australia's winter season, beautiful sunshine greeted the first spring day, and these Galahs, a smallish grey and pink

parrot native to Australia, decided it was time to start spring cleaning.

Is it the cheerful yellow? Is it the promise of spring? Hope renewed - the promise of new life ...

Some friends and I discussed a project by which we gather a crowd of people to join us in picking up rubbish at various locations around Tehran. We thought about maybe doing this on a monthly bases and figured we get one underway and set about doing "prevention as oppose to cure" part later.

The weekend we chose seemed to coincide with some be-green slam-down between the president and the Mayor of Tehran. Apparently there was some tree planting episode also on the day we headed.

Joining us for the trip we had some representatives from a couple of NGOs and also a German photographer partly in town to photograph the upcoming elections and also in the region for his Walls project, by which he's photographing detention walls, i.e. Gaza/West bank.

We chose a tourist spot up in the North of Tehran called Tochal, for which we were told needed a good cleaning, yet upon arriving we'd been misinformed and the place not only had bins every 20 metres but also had workers regularly cleaning. I guess we gave them a day off.

So, armed with gloves, plastic bags and enthusiasm , we did very little other than enjoy the nice weather and chat about a future event.

Personally I conducted an interview with the German photographer for which he spoke of his travels to the Occupied Territories of Palestine and his project of Wall; Mexico/America, Northern Ireland etc.

If anyone is interested in joining us next time, please get in touch.
