Spread for Naked Truth Environmental Book. I designed this in the Summer of 2008 in my Design in Nature class. We had to incorporate a nude into our design books and focus on an environmental issue. I selected the phrase "Naked Truth" and focused on Runoff, Pesticide, Pollution, and Plastic.
Spread of Corona Virus How COVID-19 Spreads ? Current understanding about how the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads is largely based on what is known about similar coronaviruses. Person-to-person spread The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person. Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) Via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Spread from contact with infected surfaces or objects It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. When does spread happen? People are thought to be most contagious when they are most symptomatic (the sickest). Some spread might be possible before people show symptoms; there have been reports of this with this new coronavirus, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. How efficiently does the virus spread? How easily a virus spreads from person-to-person can vary. Some viruses are highly contagious (like measles), while other viruses are less so. Another factor is whether the spread continues over multiple generations of people (if spread is sustained). The virus that causes COVID-19 seems to be spreading easily and sustainably in Hubei province and other parts of China. In the United States, spread from person-to-person has occurred only among a few close contacts and has not spread any further to date. ift.tt/3aThMi2 / CC BY-SA (ift.tt/1rWN0uR) If you like our videos please do not forget to like, comment, subscribe to the channel. Former D&H Jordan Spreader now belongs to the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad. I was lucky enough to spend 8 hours on this JS while it was involved in digging of trenches. This is Livia looking back towards her husband Toby, the train engineer of the day.
the "special edition" fever has spread from dvd's to the candy industry. now when you go into the store, you can see special editions of your favorites, along with new gimmicky packaging. rob got these stixx cause it looked interesting. i tried one and it tastes just like a regular butterfinger, but smaller. since this was smaller, the peanut flavor was not as much, so i ended up craving another one. don't bother with it, just get a regular butterfinger.
Comb Jelly spreads out to dine- As this comb jelly drifts on the currents, it spreads two broad lobes out like nets to catch food, tiny prey sltick to the lobes, like flies to a spider's web. Then the food's swept by fine, little hairs toward the center to the comb jelly's waiting mouth.
I'm filling up my second Remains of the day journal, ROD2. It's great fun. Spreads measure 21x30 cm.

177 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.
Description of Historic Place:
The Washington Hotel, located at 177 East Hastings Street in Vancouver, is a masonry eight-storey Edwardian commercial structure adjacent to an alley.
Heritage Value:
The heritage value of the Washington Hotel lies in the historic relationship between this area and the economy of early Vancouver. At the turn of the twentieth century, this area of town was developed as a shopping area as commercial activity spread outward from its early roots in Gastown. As the young city grew, so did its commercial district. It was the home of several hotels, lodgings, and small retail outlets which were established to serve the growing blue-collar population.
Built in 1912 for James Borland by architects Parr and Fee, who designed many early Vancouver buildings, this building was first known as the Hotel Maple until 1935. The hotel's name changed to the Hastings Hotel in the 1930s and finally the Washington Hotel in the 1940s. Borland was a pioneer who arrived in Vancouver in 1888 and later became a well-known building agent. The hotel's fine finishes would indicate that it catered to tourists and business travellers who were expected after the completion of the Canadian Northern Railway and the Panama Canal. In addition to providing accommodation, the Hotel Maple also offered services including a pool room, a gentleman's clothing outlet, and a restaurant, all catering to the largely male travelling public. The real estate agency on the main floor was well-placed to deal with the boom which mirrored the city's economic prosperity.
There is also value in the architectural design, which reflects the changing public taste from the ornate decoration of the late Victorian period to the more refined ornament of the Edwardian era. The symmetrical front facade and the overhanging cornice on two facades are similar to other hotels and office buildings in the area. This tall building overshadows its neighbour, illustrating the 'sawtooth' skyline prevalent in the Hastings Street strip.

Character-Defining Elements:
The character-defining elements of the historic place include:
- rectangular form and massing and impressive scale
- built on a narrow footprint right to the lot line with no setbacks
- its functional relationship with other buildings within the Hastings Street strip and adjoining neighbourhoods
- its location on an alley
- characteristics of the Edwardian commercial style including: buff brick cladding, terra cotta lintels, marble and copper covering on ground floor, sheet metal cornice with dentils
- mosaic tile floor in entry
- continued ground floor use as retail space
- continued use of upper storeys as transient accommodation
This is a photograph from the BHAA K-Club 10KM Road Race and Fun Run 2014 was held at the K-Club Golf and Hotel Resort, Straffan, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Saturday 12th of April 2013 at 11:00. The race, an annual event, has become famous for it's very fast and flat course which starts and finishes within the grounds of the K-Club. While the weather was dry there was a tough breeze in places which made running conditions a little harder than expected. The road race has gained fame through it's PB potential but the spread of refreshments and catering afterwards are now legendary and are of the highest standard imaginable. Race director Gerry Byrne and a very large team of volunteers, K-Club staff, and local Gardai must be given the highest of compliments for the staging of the event. Well done everyone.
We have an extensive set of photographs on our Flickr Photostream: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157643843402565/

All profits from the event are donated to charity with the chosen charity for the race being the Parkinsons Association of Ireland. With stiff competition from a number of Parkruns and other races in the North Leinster area the K-Club 10KM stood out for it's flawless organisation, large field, and epic spread of refreshments afterwards.
Who are the BHAA? The BHAA (Business Houses Athletic Association) is a work place athletic organisation who's aim is to facilitate colleagues to run together in a series of races. They organise a series of properly managed cross country, trail and road races over the year. To learn more about membership, fixtures, etc you can visit their website bhaa.ie/. You do not need to be a member of a company or BHAA organisation to take part in any of their races.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!

This was difficult to photograph; the folds are symmetrical but it doesn't show on the photo. Also , the paper is darker & not as shiny as in the photo. The backlit picture is better, I think.
