Street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.
Previously unpublished archive shot and a great example of the simple fact that some people are more relaxed and easily flattered than others. Enjoy!
A native of southern Mexico and Central America. Unlike most North American orioles where the males are bright and the females are dull, both sexes of the Spot-breasted Oriole are bright and look alike. This pattern of sexes looking alike and colorful is common in tropical orioles.

Thanks so much for all the support! I really do appreciate it! 😊
These are photos taken on my trip to Europe and the UK with a girl friend in October to November 2012. My camera I had then wasn't good with low light so some of these shots are not great but I have put them as my memories of the trip.
Day 2 and our last day in Paris, November 2012 on a visit to the Louvre.
The Louvre or the Louvre Museum is the world's most-visited museum, and a historic landmark in Paris, France. It is the home of some of the best-known works of art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo.

Was pleased to find one, as this species is quite often the first to go to it's overwintering site, and the last to emerge in spring! This was in leaf litter, and carefully put back!
Upton Magna - Shropshire
Another ladybird subject with 14 spots. However, this time it's a pair of 7-spots (Coccinella septempunctata).
Photographed alongside the lane down to the coast at Saltwick Bay.
Update: Six spot burnet moth. Probably Cinnabar, going on the time of year and the state of the moth. Happy to be corrected. This was the first insect I came across at Brockadale with a very early start. Was a touch breezy so the photo stack hasn't worked.
I watched three different Bald Eagles perch in this spot until they were driven off by another Eagle.
For Macro Mondays - Sweet Spot Squared. An interesting challenge to photograph something sweet having found the 'sweet spot' for my macro lens.
One of my favourite sweets is Turkish Delight!
Happy Macro Monday!!
Orange ladybird - Halyzia 16-guttata.
Size: 4.5 - 6mm
Basic colour: orange
Pattern colour: white spots
Number of spots: 12-16
Spot fusions: none
A first for me, found this little cutie hiding deep within a nettle leaf at Milldale by the River Dove, Staffordshire Peak District.
