Can anyone give me the title from the second film ticket?

I remembered the 1st time I watched Spirited away about 15 years ago on the big screen. I was an animation student back then and I was BLOWN AWAY by it. I was immersed into Miyazaki's magical world, that 1.5 hours in the theatre was simply mind blowing. Explosions of colours, japanese folklore creatures of all shapes and sizes comes to life; at that moment I really wished I was Chihiro. To experience her fear, her bravery, her curiosity and her love. Words can't describe how much I love this movie. Thank you Miyazaki for inspiring us all with your wonderful mind. Making Chichi was such joy.

Chichi Chan was made with lots of love. She's a Goodie GoGo based doll with a TBL scalp of matte mint hair. She comes with all the wonderful Spirited away toys on her stand.

These lovely and so cute totoro earrings where inspired by the movie "My Neighbour Totoro", from studio ghibli

Starting with these two, my next posts in the coming days will be from the dreamy backwaters of Kerala.

Everything in and about Kerala is so magical... But a houseboat trip in the backwaters is an experience out of this world...

Kerala is famous for its backwaters network of rivers, canals and lagoons surrounded by coconut groves, tiny villages and rice fields. My friend Eren and I rented a traditional houseboat called kettuvallam in the local language (Malayalam). Starting from Alleppey, we rode through the canals for a whole day and spent the night on the boat off a small village. It was a private 22-hour-long cruise with just the two of us and the crew. Undoubtedly, it has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I don’t even have the words to describe it!

There are so many boats that you can take that it's really hard to say no to one and go for another. We eventually rented a boat called Pickadly, and were so very happy with our choice. The crew have been very nice and friendly to us and we really had a fantastic experience thanks to them. And the food was incredible! One of the crew members, Sanil, had a sister living in the village that we spent the night, and he was kind enough to take us to her little, humble house where she lived with her husband and three sons and their goats.. The family shared their chai with us and they were all so nice to us that I don't expect that either of us will ever forget them. We were truly grateful for their hospitality. And by the way, their goat had just given birth to a couple of babies that day, and the babies were so incredibly cute!

And just what an amazing walk it was through the village, along the narrow canals at the sunset... The scenery was totally surreal. It reminded us of a scene from Spirited Away, Miyazaki's masterpiece.

Thank you, Sanil, for turning what was already a surreal experience into a real dream for us...

Small improvements over the last version, with more details on the head, hair, hands etc. Shaping could be cleaner. Also, model still has some structural issues that makes shaping harder than necessary, however they are hard to fix while still retaining the color changes.

While the body is easy enough to sculpt, the deceptively hard part is adding the tiny, thin strips of polymer clay for the mask features, and any little tweak changes his expression! The tokens are fun to make, as well, with all the little variations of token 'codes"!

There were a couple of No Faces, but this one was one of the better ones because of the size of the mask.

One of my favorite movies, Spirited Away. Here's that scene with the radish spirit crowding the elevator.

Shiba WIP no 51 。

To see more work in progress (wip): #quequecraftwip 。

I decided to temporarily show some decent work in progress that i have not made background yet . 。

This is another bigger piece that cracks my head to think how to make this scene. My friend Zuko (dogenderg) gave some idea and reference link. 。

And my other friend Cookie (kityakarlson) said Cookie didnt like bath at all!!! Cookie dad has visited the bath house that inspired the actual ghibli movie. 。

So i purposely make this scene mimicking them. 。

Of course as predicted another ghibli feature, the bath tub scene is the famous bathhouse scene from ghibli movie "spirited away" . Bathhouse owned by Yubaba the witch. I chose 3 wet shiba photos (Yumi, Miya and Zuko) to put them in bathtub, and Cookie was like screaming " Noooooo ! " Hope you enjoy it. This is WIP only. It was fun and challenging

Thank you for the fun and challenge 。

March 21, 9:16 AM. No Face among the flowers of a blooming Yucca tree. Cottonwood camp ground, Joshua Tree National Park.

But with Konpeito sweets and Zelfs.

Designed and folded by me, based on a 64x64 grid.

Paper used: 49x49 cm triple tissue. I added a little brown tissue at the top of the orange side to make the hair brown, but the color changes overall are natural.

Been having so much fun with projects like this. This is a layered collage piece. Almost every detail on it is a different layer which has been colored, dyed, and trimmed to make this cute scene. Made for ATC - Free Themed # 35 (USA) swap Swap-bot.

"Spirited Away" is done with acrylic paint and watercolors which have been cut and layered in a paper collage which has then been rubber cemented to some Bristol Board to give the card some strength.

Shot with my Lomo on expired 2004 Fujichrome Provia 100F slide film and cross processed (2012). 50 cent score from the swap meet!

STOP SMILING. YOU'RE STILL SMILING.

Drew this for mikepop, a gift for his daughter's birthday. She really liked the duck spirits from Spirited Away so this is an illustration of her helping out at the bath house! :)
