A spinning wheel placed where the user could see what she was doing. Again, at the Frontier Culture museum in Staunton Virginia. There were several different spinning wheels throughout the various buildings, all different sizes. I believe I took this is the German home. I liked the light that was hitting this one. So happy I didn't have to make my own clothes starting with wool!! I couldn't even do it starting with premade cloth and an electric sewing machine! HA!

for those wondering how to become a spinner: check out this group i started a while ago, some wonderful examples www.flickr.com/groups/spinners/pool/
on another note, i am a little bit peeved at photojojo and Digital Photo Pro, the (fairly decent) british magazine.
last month, they just published one of my photos (victoria spinning), and explanations on how to shoot those images. not that I would claim to be the first one but they used my exact words, including the exact description of the "spinners and saints" group.
all with no credit whatsoever, except to photojojo.
yes, they (both) asked for permission first, and I got sent 3 copies of DPP but still, I find the whole process inelegant at best:
basically photojojo scours the web for ideas, gets advertising and sells stuff. then syndicates their content to Digital Photo Pro, who then profits from the advertising with no credit given... which was probably the least they could do given they do not pay...
next time i'll pass.
I am afraid the young man has consumed too much lemonade, cotton candy, and french fries, before taking this ride.
I wasn't going to post today, but when we got back Ethans new Fidget Spinner arrived in the post so couldn't resist!

Le pont de Spin'a Cavallu sur le Rizzanese, est un pont « pisan » plutôt que « génois », il daterait du XIIIème siècle, ce qui ferait de lui l’un des plus anciens de l’île.
