Life can feel like it is spinnnig sometimes. Round and round I go at high speed. Like this week for ex.
Still, the core is calm. The core here the red rose.
Bokeh created by weird lens. Probably a lens with reversed front glass.
The Mad Tea Party at Disneyland in California in the Fantasyland section of the park. This perhaps is one of my favorite places in the park. The energy at this spot is quite electric. The sounds from the Matterhorn and other attractions while under the lanterns makes for some pretty happy spins and smiles.
I chose this quarter for the bright red poppies on it and it proved to be a good choice. Other coins I used didn't look as dramatic. I cloned out some of the dust on the table. I was surprised at how much dust appeared in the image because I was dusting it off after each shot. :-/
The reflection in the table top was pure serendipity.

This little New Holland honeyeater was ducking in and out of the birdbath, and here I caught it mid spin as it turned itself around on the edge of the bath and got rid of some more water from the feathers.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
Leucadendron rubrum, Proteaceae, is a flower-bearing shrub native to the Western Cape, South Africa. The shrub grows 2.5 m (8.2 ft) tall and flowers from August to September. Fire destroys the plant but the seeds survive. The seed has a parachute mechanism that allows it to float and rotate through the air. The plant is dioecious, being represented by male and female shrubs with unisexual flowers. (Wikipedia)

This photo was photographed outside in natural light in my garden.
This is one image and no editing other than cropping and color tones have been done. No removing of anything was done. I used a dowel attached to the back of the shell and attached to a tripod behind a shrub to give a floating illusion.
To attain the bokeh I had to place the subject and the sun so that the small white flowers, green leaves gives a sort of reflections isolated by empty spaces in between. Also to help further accomplish this the subject was placed further away from the background than it was to the camera.
Spin: The background bokeh along with the shell spiral gives (to me) the effect of spinning.
float: The shell seems to "float" mid-air.
Everytime the rewind event comes around, the name reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Nas. I've been an avid fan of his since the 90's, but this particular song was especially masterful to me because of the way in which the lyrics were delivered. The entire story he's spinning from the first bar is a backwards telling of the events described, Rewind. From the way he rapped it, to the beat chosen, it harmonizes with that vision. When I saw the table and chair set by Cubic Cherry, of a cassette tape being rewound I was like yasss, and couldn't get this song out of my mind lol. I hope you all enjoy. ♥

Somewhat of a unique view presented itself when both trainsets for ATK 314 (from KC) and late running ATK 301 (from CHI) needed to be spun before returning to the depot for later departures. Generally, Amtrak consists leave the St. Louis downtown station and run east over to the Poplar Street wye to spin shortly after all passengers have detrained. 301 was running nearly 2 hours late and 314 was on time. With nothing else around, the TRRA Merchants Dispatcher was guiding them both and set up this meet above 6th Street. ATK 314's consist is in the foreground and holding for the signal at Gratiot on the UP Lesperance connection while 301's consist shoves by on the TRRA High Line.

Some days that's just how it feels but hey, if I had a blue dress that fancy, I'd give in to the spin too.
Fingerprints and imperfections on the glass gave me the idea to spin the sphere to blur them out. I used the torch function from my mobile to light it from behind.
This is my first attempt at star trail photography. The horizontal lines are from a train that went by during the 30-minute exposure.
