I like the crisp white shirts in contrast to the beautiful bold colours.

"The museum is full of interesting things. All kinds of paintings are there. And then paintings too thick to put in a frame, that they call sculpture. And then there are spectators. with their scorecards, rooting for culture. And spectators of the spectators, looking for love's introduction. And art students taking notes. And old women trying to remember the past. And old men with too much to forget. And tourists, thinking that a museum represents a city. And loafers so poor, they study their soberness here."
- Marvin L. Cohen

There was a heavy fog over Detroit, MI and Windsor, ON. This woman caught my eye (and lens) because she kept on taking pictures across the river at Detroit's skyline, but from what I could see none of the buildings - including the GM Renaissance monolith - were visible. I would have left it at that, and not composed the shot, but the seagulls and her seemed so comfortable together, contemplating the great grey of the fog in unison - the scene demanded capturing.

The swift river necks down, and pours through a narrow gorge built into the dam. She swims fast and strong — as fast as she can — and catches a back eddy in a deep, whirling pool of water below the falls. Helped by water current and her own mad dash, she flings herself up in a steeply-angled broad leap. Airborne, her body flails; her tail moves violently. She hits halfway up the first cascade, and swims to the top - And the crowd goes wild!
Good leaps depend on the pool below the falls. The deeper the pool, the better the take-off angle, and the faster the fish can go.
