Woody is a very cute, little, female, tabby cat with a white nose and huge eyes. She is quite old and nearly totally blind.
She came into us in June when she was picked up as a stray. We put up lots of lost and found posters, as we thought she might have become a little lost – unfortunately no one has come forward for her. We believe she must have been a much loved pet to someone as she is so well behaved and sweet tempered.
Any person who considers adopting her will have to bare in mind her lack of eye sight. She should not be allowed outside unaccompanied, although once settled she will probably enjoying laying in a sunny spot in an enclosed garden. She will take a little while to learn the layout of any new home and frequent repositioning of furniture will need to be avoided! She is very clean and uses a litter tray, but she will need to know exactly where her toilet is and it would be best positioned somewhere easily accessible for her.
She is currently living at our kennels in Heckington.

Margareth Figueroa - Peru Cusco - Dental Program Children SpecialNeeds
Clinical placements are based in public hospitals, small clinics, and a regional hospital in Cusco. Volunteers seeking a hands on "clinical" experience are required to be healthcare professionals or currently enrolled medical/nursing/dental students - and provide us their credentials or current enrollment status information. As a medical/nurse/dental volunteer you should expect to shadow, as well as have some hands on work. Expect to be part of a team. These program are as much about learning about universal health care, as it is to offer hands on assistance to the local medical staff who you will be working with.
