January 2017 CreativeMornings/Raleigh event (global theme: Mystery) with guest speaker Zach Ward.
Zach Ward has been performing and directing comedy for more than 20 years. Chief Optimist and founder of YesAndLife, owner and Artistic Director of DSI Comedy, founder and Executive Producer of the NC Comedy Arts Festival, Zach was recently named Chapel Hill’s 2016 Young Professional of the Year.
Zach has received critical acclaim from the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Tribune for his performance with Dual Exhaust (named one of the Top 10 “Most Influential Comedy Duos of the Past Decade”) and DSI’s hip-hop inspired improv show THE BEATBOX (named one of the “Top 5 Late Night Shows in Chicago”). Zach can currently be seen performing locally in Chapel Hill, NC with MISTER DIPLOMAT and on the road at theaters and comedy festivals around the country.
A professional speaker, Zach has consulted and delivered improv-inspired programs internationally for clients including TEDx, Procter & Gamble, Comcast, Motorola, Biogen, Cisco, Old Navy, and the YMCA. Zach has been contracted as adjunct faculty at UNC Chapel Hill since 2008 and has recently started teaching improvisation as part of a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Since that first laugh in 1993, Zach has developed a passion for applied improvisation & comedy, and, for more than a decade, an obsession with compassion, empathy, organizational development and entrepreneurship. In addition to speaking, coaching and team building, Zach helps provide comedy talent for events all across the country. He practices “Yes, And” with his clients, his employees, and with his 4 year-old son, every day.
Special thanks to our host CAM Raleigh and sponsors CompostNow, Remedy, for video production, Counter Culture Coffee, who generously provided us with complimentary coffee, and Rise, who provided the tasty breakfast snacks.

I was in an awkward spot but was able to get some shots of the congregation members and pastors who spoke at the dinner.
Ceiling of the American terminal (F) at Tampa International. I was impressed with their public address system. The white globes you see are each speakers. There are eight across each section of the terminal. They have them zoned nicely so you hear the appropriate announcements, and the quality is good. A number of venues could learn from them (Little Rock National being a prime example).

An installation at Modern Art Oxford until February 2018.
"For a new commission by Swiss artist Nicolas Party (b. 1980, Lausanne, lives and works in Brussels and New York), the Piper Gallery is taken over by a theatrical cast of female heads representing and acknowledging the achievements of pioneering women in the city of Oxford.
The work is in response to what the artist considers to be the heavily masculine energy of Oxford’s architecture and academic histories."
