So... I was looking for something Yellow, and boy did I find lots of yellow. I will be sharing variations on this photo, so this is my starting point.
If you are not familiar with Spaghetti Squash, the flesh inside is fibrous like spaghetti, and people have substituted it for spaghetti noodles for a healthier alternative, though it really isn't the same.
I sat and watched this Great Blue Heron fishing at the edge of the lake when suddenly he hunkered down and fluffed out his plumage looking more imposing than he had a few seconds before.
There was a huge group of Canada Geese swimming in his direction. Most veered off and kept swimming right but a handful veered to the left, getting closer and closer to the heron. He froze as they sped past him.
Next thing I knew a convoy of Mallard ducks were there, too, cruising in the opposite direction!
All swimming around and around, back and forth, making this a high traffic area. Going nowhere - but with great determination to get there none the less.
"Lady and the Tramp" (In Italian "Lilli e il vagabondo") is one of my Disney favorite movie ... I don't know why!!!

Macro Monday: Pasta
Spaghetti and tomato sauce, with some spices and grated parmesan cheese. This did become my dinner!
The image is about 7 cm (2.75 inches) on the long edge.

This pasta dish was inspired by Spaghetti-O's, a canned product of round pasta and horrible tomato sauce that was a favorite of kids all over America (I have no idea about its reach in the rest of the world) back in the 1950s and 60s. I happened to watch a youtube video by an Italian cook and her American husband (who grew up on this stuff), and she made a more authentic version of it, which happened to originate in Sicily. And I happened to see a bag of the Sicilian pasta they used in the grocery store, so I decided to try it. These are storebought meatballs (my addition to the dish) but the marinara is homemade. It came out quite good (it is just spaghetti and meatballs), but this pasta is so much easier to eat than regular spaghetti.
An image that was shot for this week's Macro Monday group theme, which is Pasta.
Here we're taking a closer look at the ends of some strands of Spaghetti...
Happy Macro Monday Everyone! :)
Maybe the most British of dishes! We do live in a wonderfully blended world.
We made this today using roast tomatoes from the greenhouse that we froze at the end of the summer.
Plenty of garlic, a slight hint of chili kick, lots of good olive oil and cooking all day in a low oven. Yum! ...I am like the cat with the cream.
& music too if you like:

The famous Spaghetti nebula, more properly known as Simeis 147, on the border of Auriga with Taurus is a supernova remnant of a star which exploded around 40,000 years ago. It is a large object, spanning more than 3 degrees, but also very dim. This image is a 6 panel mosaic with each panel being a stack of 300 second subframes integrating to 10 or more hours total exposure. The imaging camera was a QHY168C with an STC duo-narrowband filter. The scope was a WO Zenithstar 102. Sequence Generator Pro was used to plan the mosaic and manage the image capture. Guiding was via PHD2. The mount was a Skywatcher EQ6R Pro. All post-processing was carried out in PixInsight.

Bingo and Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser at Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue in Joliet Illinois. The Spaghetti and Sloppy Rick's were delicious.
Like your comment on this tight crop of a large graffiti wall mural. It looks like a plate of spaghetti bolognese to me! This is a close-up image from a community art project.

A plate of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic butter rather than marinara. I may have oddball tastes, but this is what I prefer.
