White on white.
I started to take a straight shot, then this happened. I am the Quirky Queen however. Mini Martians live on this spaceship, itโs 3.5 cm across.
Serious question. Why does the background look much whiter in Lightroom than on screen?
I've been working on this spaceship on and off since April, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I displayed it at BW along with
many of my other MOCs.
On another note, this is my second spaceship that fits a minifig well, looks decent, and doesn't fall apart on contact. Yeah!
Thanks to Simon for giving critiques during the build process.
Sola Deo Gloria!
*I promise I wasn't trying to copy you, Ted :P
Here is the second build in our series of spaceships built by a group of extremely talented builders (all tagged below). The whole premise of the challenge was to see where the concept of the spaceship would go if each builder only saw the build previous to them and then changing it as they please. I based my design solely off Roanoke's and made a few minor adjustments before passing my design to Joel. Make sure to be following all the builders tagged, as you're sure to see some awesome builds! Joel is next in the posting lineup, and he will post tomorrow!
Big shoutout to Hadden for really putting this together and being the driving force making it happen. I'm super glad I was able to participate and hope you like my MOC!
Day 8 - Met a spaceship (Rhopilema esculenta) in Kaiyukan aquarium, Osaka. In real life, it is really tiny, maybe couple inches
The dual windscreens in 10497 gave me the idea to try to create a classic space version of my favorite Star Wars ship, the U-wing. Overall I am pretty happy with this one. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the functions of the U-wing but managed to get the sweeping s-foils and opening troop compartment doors (this with the addition of 2 1L axle/pins and 4 2L axle pins). All other parts come from the set. The part count comes in a little over 900. Instructions are available at rebrickablw if you'd like to build one of your own! rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-136023/Themiddlebrick/ut-928d-ga...
Using some leftovers from SHIPtember. Actually, it's a delaying tactic to put off sorting. "Look, I don't need to sort--I can make ships outta all the ship that's lying around!"
Monument to Revolution, which was created to memorize partisans and civilians killed in WWII . One of many futuristic monuments in yugoslavia.
I am traveling in Slovenia, Austria and Italy Alps currently. Tomorrow i am gonna be in Hallstatt.
Completed on: 4th November, 2007
This was my first spaceship and my first MOC of the Space theme.
It's microscale and it was called Dragonfly because its shape reminded me of an insect.
It was made for a contest at Comunidade 0937:

In the first scene of Star Wars, we see a small spaceship pursued by a much larger monolithic star cruiser which keeps coming and coming and coming. When I look up at the enormous buildings in London today and flip the image upside down, they remind me of these star cruisers...
Premonition is complete!
This time thereโs already design video on YouTube with build intro and walkthrough for the major assembly steps. Detailed construction videos for components will follow. A model file, parts inventory, and other information is available on galacticplastics.com.
The model was in design for a loooong time and I appreciated feedback from others throughout. ๐ Iโm grateful for suggestions from Cole Blaq on shaping forward of the nacelles, Red Spacecat on the vertical fins + other bits, and Brendan on the cannon supports + engine output, and Bram on a geometry challenge. My hearty thanks to them and to everyone else that supported/encouraged. ๐โโ๏ธ
The Cinderella Castle sunset picture has really become popular but I don't really see many Spaceship Earth Sunset photos. Maybe I'm just not looking well enough but I'd like to see this become as popular as the Castle sunset shots. Frankly Spaceship Earth and the surrounding area offers many more unique shots shooting into the sun than Cinderella Castle does so there is a lot of room for artistic expression here. Perhaps the issue is that it's at the front of the park and so most people are further into the park at sunset as opposed to Cinderella Castle which is located in the center of the park and easier to go to for sunset shots.
This was shot with the Nikon D810 and Nikon 14-24 2.8 handheld. Of course shooting at this angle into the sun I got some nasty rainbow flaring in the trees. I find it incredibly distracting so the first thing I did was work on removing that. I manually blended a 3 exposure bracket (after aligning due to shooting handheld) to create my base image. I did my typical round of editing with levels adjustments, color balancing, saturation adjustments, etc. For whatever reason I found myself spending a lot of time adjusting the yellow color channel in this image. I was having a difficult time getting the yellow to look how I wanted. As it was becoming saturated it really took on an unappealing quality. Ultimately some selective color adjustments allowed me to fine tune it and get it close to what I wanted. My one regret is not taking the time to setup on a tripod for this shot. This would have allowed me to do a more extensive bracket and get a bit more detail around the sun.

Two mostly identical microscale spaceships crewed by pirates. Built for a tabletop game in early 2019.
