Frankie: "Hey, Control! Wakey-wakey! Surprise!"
Apophis Station Control: "...zzz..."
Frankie: "Hey Control - repeat - wakey-wakey! We're back!"
Apophis Station Control: "...Hunh? Huh? Frankie, you guys are... wait... Six hundred and thirty one days overdue! We thought you were never coming home. And WHAT THE FREAK is that THING you guys are pulling? Colonel - you better get over here now - Sir!"
Gunter: "Whoooo-hoooo! Ha-ha! Whoooo! We're back! And look what we found out there!"
Colonel Anderson: "This is Anderson. Out where exactly? Name the system! Reset approach vector 30 degrees port right now and hold once you're 10,000k off the station. I don't know what the blazes that *thing* is. I do know it has not cleared security or quarantine, and is highly unlikely to do so.
Frankie: "We pinged it out on a foray out towards the Magellanic Cloud - the small one that is - why d'ya think it took so long to get it back here? And - just guessing here, but it appears to be a GREAT BIG MONEY-MAKING CHUNK OF ANCIENT ALIEN TECHNOLOGY. Or something. With our names on it!"
Gunter: "Ha-ha-ha! Whoooo! Just look at this baby. Heh-heh. My lucky rock - finally. Think I'll be able to swing that engine refit now? That and then some!"
Colonel Anderson: "Oh you crazy, clueless pair of civilian clowns. Hey, I don't see you turning yet. That's 30 degrees port - make it 45 - right now! Any signs of aggression or attempts to communicate? How do we know it's not some fully armed and operational battle station from an evil galactic empire?"
Frankie: "Colonel, I find your lack of faith disturbing. It never said or did a thing. We sniffed around for few days, then clamped on and started pulling home. Besides, isn't it a little small for a battle station?"
Colonel Anderson: "Don't get cocky. Something about it is seriously ringing a bell with me - that funny-looking dish in the side. Just can't quite place it. Anyway, I'm not letting you back anywhere near Apophis until we've got a complete technical reading of that thing."
Gunter: "Ha-ha-haaaa! Whoooo! I got my lucky rock. Got some old debts I gotta pay off with this stuff, and then for all we know, it's the ultimate power in the universe! Ha-ha! At last! See you in the dock cantina Colonel - mine's a Murphys - with a double Bushmills chaser."

Hello,
A freestyle build , the idea was using those big nexo wedges , the first attempt looked like a sort of strange tie fighter, few hours later it's a space shuttle ^^
(This may not be my last build this year as I'm building an other tiny bike right now
Pilot-Gunner Anderson: "So how are things over spinward Chen? Nothing that might be a contact?"
Pilot-Gunner Chen: "Dead as ever. Nothing out here for weeks. I am so bored. B-o-o-o-o-ored. Bored! Wanna loose off a coupla "test shots"?"
Anderson: "No! Bad idea - you know what happened to McCray when he tried that. Control went bats**t thinking we zeroed onto some wyverns that had found a way to come in without tripping the early warning first. They were carping about that for weeks and McCray got a month in the brig - not to mention each slug is worth a year's pay!"
Chen: "Bah! You're right Pauly. But I could really use a diversion. Like a... you know..."
Anderson: "Chen, no immersives on shift. You know that. Control is always watching!"
Chen: "..."
Anderson: "..."
Chen: "I like it when the stars twinkle like that. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you ar..."
Anderson: "Huh-what? What star? What star is twinkling? Stars don't twinkle in space! Pos-ref Chen quickly!"
Chen: "Er, that'll be sector-G-quad-5-ref 23786.34."
Anderson: "That's no star - ohfuuuuuuuuuuu...SAFETIESOFFNOWFIREFIREFIRE!!!!"

Striking polished opal, that looks like a spacescene. One of the largest polished opals in the world. Was on sale for $20.000
Very little details can be found on this opal. It looks to be some 12 x 12cm in size and has a different shape based on the angle it's viewed at. This is a 'profile'.
Appear to have originated in Opal Butte, Oregon, United States.
While Australia produces over 97% of the worlds supply of opal today, Recent mining at Opal Butte in northeastern Oregon has produced a wide variety of large flawless opals. You can find your own opal in Oregon.
The most common gem-quality varieties are hyalite and rainbow opal, but the less common play-of-color varieties contra luz, hydrophane, and crystal opal are economically more important. Opals are formed in rhyolite, basalt, sandstone, marl and rhyolite. Rhyolite geodes are a common source of opals. They are classified as mineraloids, meaning that they do not have the characteristics of crystals. It is a crystal like product of silicon dioxide which is deposited under somewhat low temperature and forms in fissures and cracks of rocks.
One way opals are formed is from water carrying a mineral called silica that seeps into volcanic lava. Lava has air bubbles that, as they cool, become receptacles for the liquid deposits. This is why Oregon is opal territory. From its position at the edge of the North American crustal plate, Oregon has played host to many volcanoes. If the conditions are right, the seeping silica forms opals within the volcanic air bubbles.

I hadn't done any nighttime photography with my models in a while, so I tried out an idea I had based on some of the shots I'd seen from Star Trek: TNG.
It took about an hour to take 3 shots. Then after looking them over, and doing some editing; I decided to make a few collages by cutting/pasting the single shuttlecraft from the live shoot into the photo.
