SpaceEngine - A free space simulation program that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets - all available for exploration. You can land any planet, moon or asteroid and watch alien landscapes and celestial phenomena. You can even pilot starships and atmospheric shuttles.

"Now I must escape the pursuit of death. Death is an enemy that cannot be defeated, but only avoided."
Yuss. Yet another space creation. I liek.
This was a pain in the ass to make.

Two Space Police officers pursue a gang of alien convicts into the a sewer, unaware of the gangs heavy weaponry and Grogian mercenary backup.
So that's where all my bricks went! I've had this sitting on my dining room table since mid-August. I finally got around to photographing it after I realized I would need a lot of it for my Trireme. This puppy is wicked hard to photograph, especially the sewer part. This is probably my best MOC so far (it looks FAR better in person).

From this combination shot, you can see how parking spaces have gotten much smaller than they used to be. Both images were taken at Southeastern Illinois College, where I went to college. The top image was taken in September 1979, when I was studying photography there, and the bottom image was taken on May 11th, 2012. In the bottom image, you can still see the spacing of the old concrete "bumpers" you pulled up to and the lines have been repainted to make the parking spaces smaller - that's why they don't line up with the "bumpers" any more.
I was just reading on an automotive thread where some guy said he preferred compact trucks because they're easier to park. Well, I think we shouldn't demand smaller cars, we should demand that we get our full-sized parking spaces back. You might say, "but they don't make any full-sized cars in America any longer." And you would be right. But, there are some full-sized cars left on the road, and I have to have a big car, because at 6'3", I have problems fitting into the smaller cars of today. They should go back to making full-sized cars because they still make full-sized people.
The top image is a calotype and was taken with a 4"x5" pinhole box camera I made in college and the bottom image was taken with a Polaroid Fun Shooter Flash one-time-use camera.

i painted this guy as a testpiece for painting white way back in 2007 or 2008 i think, he still holds his own though and i like him.
The space invader is made up of large tiles and tucked down a side street near the British Museum and Central Saint Giles. It's not part of any sort of art installation, and the rest of the walls in the area are clear, so I'm not sure how it ended up here.
aka classic space babies, exploring the very very small and cute galaxy.
inspired by Apocalust's awesome microscale stuff.
