BNSF Warbonnet and SP Speed Lettering liveries meet at Lake Yard in Portland. That GP60 is patched, but the nose was left entirely clean! It's used on the Portland Terminal switch job based out of Lake.

This pic was overexposed originally (not on purpose), I tried my best on toning it down, smothened skin again (see previous post for a link), cloned out some shade, continued in Corel Paint Shop Pro cause it has an easy to use time machine option and then blended 2 images together.

SP Baldwin S12 is busy at work flat switching the Eugene yard. The Baldwins were brutes and could pull anything thrown at them.

A weathered Southern Pacific MP15AC idles near the locomotive facility at Englewood Yard in Houston, TX. The roof of Tower 68 can be seen in the distance at right. It was razed in 2010.

Bright, clear, crisp, early morning wait with luggage at the ready for the soon due Streamliner. Frt clears Reno Depot WWD for the Sierras at street level before the trench.
On the many huge log piles, I saw dozens of different beetles, including these ovipositing Anastrangalia sp (I think!).
The one in comments was photo-bombed by the caterpillar (knot grass?) - viewable large!

Southern Pacific Portland to Eugene Manifest with three SD9Rs (4338, 4334 & 4415) ready to leave Brooklyn Yard SE Portland, OR. Within months of this photo SP would start retiring and selling most of the remaining SD9 fleet.
SP FP7 6461 West rounds the curve into the Sacramento depot with the City of San Francisco in tow. Winter haze and the presence of a SCL round end tavern lounge car bringing up the rear suggests this could actually be an early Amtrak train.
