2x the same springtail merged in photoshop cs6.
This springtail's drawing is a bit confused... me too... :-)

"Built an opera house for you in the deepest jungle
And I walked across its stage, singing with my eyes closed
I've got a love for you I just can't escape
All of my love for you cuts me like barbed wire
Ooh, I was meant to love you
And always keep you in my life
Ooh, I was meant to love you
I knew I loved you at first sight"

These little ones were captured a week ago also, but the TransMontana of MMV ( flic.kr/p/2pDz1CE ) deserved to be released earlier. I watched these little flowers every morning while going to work, and hoped they will survive the week without wounds. On the end of the week they looked well enough for some bokeh pictures.

Probably D. gonager although there are 3 other species with orange/red legs! Quite a few perched on oak buds!

On a slice of the SP where anything headed toward Lathrop was considered westbound, the geographically southbound "Lodi Local" hits the Santa Fe diamonds on its return to Stockton, CA. GP9R 3829 and straight-stick GP9 2893 have the honors, as this class of locomotive typically did on this job. Sadly, I did not capture Santa Fe Stockton Tower in this shot; you can see the edge of the roof and first stairway landing to the extreme right of frame.
Running on trackage rights on Santa Fe's Chillicothe Subdivision, a Southern Pacific intermodal was streaking through Stronghurst in 1996.
Led by SP SD45R 7484, the Chicago-bound intermodal was racing the sunset across Illinois, assisted by SD40T-2 8506 and Cotton Belt B40-8s 8089 and 8040.
