On October 9th probably one of the most notable events in this year's calendars of Hungarian railway enthusiasts took place in the form of an excursion train. This time, the party was not thrown by the state railways, nor its nostalgia "subsidiary": Endre Barta took part in arranging some of the first independently organised excursion trains of the Hungarian rail-fan community.
The special train departed from Miskolc towards Slovakian border station Hidasnémeti in the morning to then ride along the beautiful Line 98 down to Szerencs, passing scenic locations with numerous photo opportunities.
The upper part of this line (Hidasnémeti-Abaújszántó) only sees one pair of passenger trains since mid-2020, so the sight of M62 163 (one of last two classic Sergeis of Miskolc) with the 4 Poznan built coaches caused some dazzled looks among the locals.
In this picture, the train is posing with a classic Soviet Kamaz truck near Göncruszka, with some pumpkins in the fore-, and the 755m peak of the Zemplén mountain range called Borsó-hegy (Pea-mountain) in the background.
A soldier of the Soviet Army is charging towards the enemy lines during the Eastern Front of the Second World War, he’s part of a secret group called: The Oprichniki, a secret organization that looks into the supernatural and paranormal.
Believed to be disbanded by Tsar Ivan IV Vasilyevich
The Oprichniki changed its goals from a secret police to a group devoted to study and create phenomenon. They played a large role during the second world war and the cold war by studying the paranormal in the hopes of creating super weapons. The Oprichniki is divided into two main groups with each having several subdivisions. Their members are well trained into hand-in-hand combat and firearms and most high-ranking members of the Russian military are members of this secret organization.
This shot was actually part of a deleted scene of a brickfilm called: Lego World War II: The Little Match Girl. The reason why this scene was deleted is because of the time limit. 13 minutes is already too long for a brickfilm of this caliber. Several scenes didn’t make it only for this reason alone.
I highly recommend to check out this brickfilm because this was pretty out of the box for me.
I’m overall pleased how this shot turned out and it’s a pity why this scene couldn’t be included into the brickfilm.

Czech Air Force Mi-17 '9868' sits through the drizzle at the Eastern end of RAF Fairford, this year without its Mi-24 counterpart. Shame about that, the Czech CSAR demo was a highlight of mine from RIAT 22.

Don't think she has much more cruising in her. Apart from that ridiculous structure that appears to be a later addition on the aft upper deck, she has nice lines.

Hello! Just a little concept build for a retro Soviet Martian Lander and reentry vehicle. Haven't had much time to build recently but I did finish (more or less) this one. I've done a terrible job lately following and commenting on everyone's recent builds. Hopefully life will slow down soon and give me a chance to catch up!
The inflatable habitat was inspired by a similar concept in a dingy scifi movie called Moontrap and starring Walter Koenig and Bruce Campbell. Basically Bruce resurrects as a robot and tries to take over the moon while Koenig camps out with his 2,000 year old lunar girlfriend in a blow up space tent. I give it a 4/10, if I was generous.
Thanks for looking, critique always welcomed!

The Soviet War Memorial in Vienna, more formally known as the Heldendenkmal der Roten Armee (English: Heroes' Monument of the Red Army) is located at Vienna's Schwarzenbergplatz. The semi-circular white marble colonnade partially enclosing a twelve-metre figure of a Red Army Soldier was unveiled in 1945.The Heroes' Monument of the Red Army in Vienna was built to commemorate 17,000 Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle for Vienna of World War II.
During the construction of Novopolotsk, architects and artists worked closely with each other. As a result of this cooperation, specialists from Vitebsk art workshops have created mosaics on a variety of topics on new houses. Despite the fact that some of the mosaics have already been destroyed, the total volume of mosaic panels in Novopolotsk remains one of the largest in the republic.
