SOOC challenge
Things I like about this shot are the top right fronds pointing into the frame. I also like the feeling of motion from the stringy ends of the fronds.
Two things I'm not happy with, and one is major. It lacks a clear focal subject. I didn't realize that the sharp thorned branch would steal my attention so much. I also don't like that the fronds on the left intrude into the frame so far. I needed a helper to pull that back just a bit. :-)
This was intended for the Walk the Line weekly challenge. It was a SOOC theme. Essentially show who you really are w/o any editing. Knew this wouldn’t be an easy one, but found it surprisingly difficult not to adjust levels, or slap a frame around this.
SOOC intended to be part of the Walk the Line challenge. However, when I re-read the challenge description, turns out I forgot about the come out of hiding theme. You gotta show who yourself, which I am obviously not. d'OH! Still a SOOC, but might edit it.
Major Archibald Bear volunteered for the SOOC challenge.
I want to make the background pure white!
SOOC except for conversion from RAW.
The SOOC Challenge definitely challenged me. This was my first attempt. Many of my night shots turned out less than spectacular.
This picture is for the Snow Pea Challenge SOOC challenge.
I realized that I too am relying a lot on Photoshop and not enough on my skill. So doing a SOOC challenge was really awesome.
These two titmouse shots are straight out of the camera, no editing at all, not even my usual initials. One group I am in is having a SOOC challenge, nothing can be done to the shots, including cropping (I always crop! hey, the pros do it!). So here you are, what you see is what you get! :)
Note: I agree that the mark of a good photographer is shots that are darn good sooc. And that takes extra care while taking the shot to check all aspects of the shot. On the other hand, in today's digital world, those of us who like to dabble artistically, messing around a bit with a photo is fun, and often results in something a bit better (tho, from experience, not always)

Thanks to @gabinemet, I was invited to the photo challenge #sooc_challenge (straight out of camera). This is my first of three pics: no filters, no cropping, and no edits! Now, I’m supposed to ask three others to participate (only if you want to), so I nominate @throughthemobilelens, @alma.klenanc, and @babak.gharaei ... 1 pic a day, each day, for 3 days, with 3 invites per day. 3 pics, 3 days, 3 invites.
