...che al mio posto
risponde un altro, sono stanco,
sono i giorni dell’anno
di strane congiunzioni, di parentesi vuote,
di lentissimi convogli,
un fanalino in coda,
che scelgono senza una ragione
stazioni secondarie tra l’edera e l’acacia.
Sotto un’insegna cancellata
un cielo giallo di pioggia sottile
non riesce nemmeno a tramontare.

Le fils des hommes
Portrait inspired on René Margritte's painting 'Son of man'.
The Son of Man (French: Le fils de l'homme) is a 1964 painting by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte.
Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in an overcoat and a bowler hat standing in front of a low wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man's eyes can be seen peeking over the edge of the apple. Another subtle feature is that the man's left arm appears to bend backwards at the elbow.
About the painting, Magritte said:
At least it hides the face partly well, so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but hidden, the face of the person. It's something that happens constantly. Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see. There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible does not show us. This interest can take the form of a quite intense feeling, a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present.

20.000 ISO i 1/800 , això és el que n'he obtingut.

The House of the Black Madonna ("Dům U černé matky Boží") is the work of the architect Josef Gočár who designed it in 1911-1912 for the merchant Frantisek Josef Herbst to accommodate his store on the ground floor and on the second floor while the first floor was occupied by the Grand Café Orient. This unique cubist house now serves as an annex to the National Gallery in Prague for its permanent and temporary exhibitions on cubism but still hosts the Grand Café Orient. It takes its name from the black virgin which adorns a corner of the building and comes from one of the Baroque buildings previously located on the site of the house. This is a copy, the original statue is kept in the Stone Bell House in Old Town Square.

One of my favorite TV shows just came back on for a new season. The show is Sons Of Anarchy. It's about a motorcycle gang in a Northern California town. Thought I give a play to one of their images. I changed the background to a setting more in line with the show. I liked this background also because the name of the beer is Jax ....and that's the name of the lead character in the show. Tried a little more painterly look on this one.

Of all the famous foreigners attracted to Mallorca's northwest coast, none is so admired locally as 'S'Arxiduc', Archduke Ludwig Salvador. Born in 1847 in the Pitti Palace, Florence, the son of Leopold III of Tuscany and Marie Antoinette de Bourbon, he came to Mallorca 20 years later to escape from Viennese court life and immediately fell in love with the island.
An ecologist before it was fashionable, and an eary hippy who wore Mallorcan peasant clothes, he bought up estates along the coast in an effort to save them from development, and devoted himself to studying and recording Mallorcan wildlife and traditions. His seven volume Las Baleares took 20 years to produce and is still an authority on its subject. He died in 1915 in a Bohemian castle.
The Archduke's home at Son Marroig, outside Deia, has been turned into a shrine to his memory, with his photographs, paintings and books and a museum devoted to his life. In the gardens is a white marble rotunda, made from Carrara marble and imported from Italy, where you can sit and gaze at the Na Foradada ('pierced rock') peninsula, jutting out to sea with a gaping 18-m hole at its centre. Ask at the house for permission to walk onto the peninsula.
The house plays host to concerts throughout the year.
