hand-me-down from big brother.
now it's hers.
it was too big for her last year, but
she is now able to reach the peddles
and she is so happy,
and so proud
of her "big" red bike.
My twin boys showing their younger cousin how to escape from his crib. One day later, my nephew was found running around the house after escaping his crib.

Christmas is my favorite holiday for decorating (something that I inherited from Mom). We both loved the vintage decorations and would browse antique malls non-stop looking for our favorites. Since Dad moved closer to us several years ago and we spend most Thursdays together, we have started heading to antique malls again. This year I was specifically hunting for the vintage look. When I saw this, I just knew I had to have it. Santa on a train, made in Japan. So, it's not brand new but new to me. I found many other gems as well so just had to pick one for this photo.

So the question is...did I cut away enough, or should I cut more? Add a green fabric in there? Thoughts?
At first I learned from Fran's comment about green eggs -"I have a green egg that was laid by an araucana chicken."
Two days later, I went to get eggs to make cookies and was astounded to find out my mum had same! I asked her about it and she told me that her friend owned a farm andshe bought two dozens of eggs from her. I explained her about what I learned from a Flickr friend then I saw these! Thanks Fran!

It is so true...while out with my flickr buddies the other nite...it became so dark that we were able to see that the stars were out en~masse, like it is impossible to see in the city...while looking for Orion...I turned and saw the Big Dipper like I've never seen it before. My friend said, hurry, try to get this shot....so, down on my knees I went, w/a crappy tripod and high tide trying to drown me, (literally), haha!!! (bbrrrhhh) I am such a novice, so doing the best I could, I tried to get this Big Dipper shot...I know it is a bit grainy, I have so much to learn about night shots, however, I felt like it was first shot at being there and at least trying and learning something completely new and foreign...oh, how I love learning! And then, I was reminded of this proverb and had to smile:
“Before enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment; chop wood, carry water.”

Sprout/Microgreen trays I've been considering ordering for a while. Finally ordered them and I'm glad I did. They stack quite compactly for storage, and when in use they're quite stable stacked on top of each other. Not sure I'll need 5 of them, but who knows - when gardening season ends, i might work on a plan to have a constant supply of fresh microgreens & sprouts.
