Looking for a way out

As I think someone is watching me.

This is a total departure for me - I avoid bugs on flower shots. But this little bee caught my eye. He was being blown by the wind and was totally suspended in the air at times. Plus the late afternoon light was highlighting his wings. And I am very aware of the plight of vanishing pollinators in this country, especially bees. So I broke my own rule in order to endorse the importance of bees - for their sake and for the sake of humankind. We need them in order to survive - so I honor them in this very small way. Picture is best seen viewed large - left click with mouse on image twice, slowly, to see on black. And yes, it IS a bee, not a fly. And he was wind surfing and being blown all over the place, but was clinging onto the anther firmly with his front legs. His hind legs had just touched down after a ride in this shot. I was amazed he didn't fly away...

My fingers got multi-colored due to coloring Easter eggs.
