Posted for the Smile on Saturday theme "Orange".
When I think of the colour orange I think of pumpkins. These small artificial pumpkins were a present from a friend who knows how much I love them. :)

“But at times I wondered if I had not come a long way to find that what I really sought was something I left behind”
~ Thomas West
In truth, this umbrella really belongs to a story involving a portrait of a Chinese couple, but that's a rather boring tale. I'd rather ponder this image as a metaphor for needful things left behind. Perhaps a reminder during this Christmas season to treasure the tresures we already have. Too often we leave them behind in the cold.
A former Rio Grande covered hopper passes through UP's Riverdale Yard in Ogden, Utah on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. The 4,750 cubic ft car was built by Pullman in 1974 and leased to the Rio Grande as D&RGW 15771.
Flickr, you amaze me.
the hiccups continue - problems are so wide range. It seems to me that the smug mug servers are crap. People say have you changed your settings and your browser. Why should I have to make changes? This should run on whatever. Now pictures won't show in my contacts stream. Or mine for that matter. Cannot change an icon on a home page. Slow commenting and sometimes not at all. Bad Panda crashes. Perhaps they need more money from us. Like we are 4 months in and really???
And after all this typing still no picture above, like the one I just uploaded. Can't look at yours because they do not appear either ......yet!
Sometimes small things can look so frickin' real. An older shot sitting in my queue I thought I would get some of my old shots out there.

This is my home town and one of the fjords that surround it. It will almost always blow at the coast, stronger or weaker. Except this day it didn’t, the sea was like a mirror. It’s very, very rare, and made it a day to remember. I was hiking with my dog, I’m glad that I always bring my camera with me!
I don't know what it is.... It's much bigger than a mosquito but looks similar to it. It was on the door begging to have it's photo taken so I obliged! :)
A volte quando scendo dalle montagne, lo faccio per ritrovare il mio amore di gioventù, l’aviazione militare.

When a Black Bear (Ursus americanus) spots and/or smells potential food, it can become obsessed with getting it. Here a tiny cub, high up in the trees on a rainy morning, detects something in the crown of the dead tree. He just can't resist literally sticking his nose in it. In his quest for food, he seems to be stepping into oblivion, with no where to go and nothing to grip. However, his little claws actually found a hold on the branch. From the scratch marks on that branch, looks like he wasn't the first bear to venture forth up there.
There is something haunting in the light of the moon; it has all the dispassionateness of a disembodied soul, and something of its inconceivable mystery.

Street lights on a bridge. The light was great which gave the image an almost “staged” feel about it.
This is something I thought about doing for a long time already. Now I finally put my energy and effort into creating a
blog. :) Please let me know what you think.♥ www.sheerpearls.com/

On a rooftop in Brooklyn
At one in the morning
Watching the lights flash
In Manhattan
I see five bridges
The Empire State Building
And you said something
That I've never forgotten
We lean against railings
Describing the colors
And the smells of our homelands
Acting like lovers
How did we get here?
To this point of living?
I held my breath
And you said something
And I'm doing nothing wrong
Riding in your car
The radio playing
We sing up to the eighth floor
A rooftop, Manhattan
At one in the morning
And you said something
That I've never forgotten
You said something
You said something
You said something
That was really important
