if you're into bloodlines, or not, there's a small café you should pay a visit to... tiny but with a huge heart
Macro Mondays - theme: "Contraption"
If you would like to know... It's detail of the device for a head massage :)
A Golden Hour storm rushes inland over Ocean Beach Road, Strahan on Tasmania's West Coast.
Another from the 2014 archives - a mystery why I never did anything with this frame. I remember driving out towards Ocean Beach and watching the sky get heavier and heavier - this shot was a spur of the moment - stop and shoot then zoom off to the beach anticipating there would be some not inconsiderable drama at the shore. I guess I was later distracted by the drama on the beach, just beyond the bend...

The same butterfly/moth eggs as posted a week or so ago (see first comment). Something seems to happen inside....
With 65mm Ext tube, 2.2x magnification relative to sensor size.
Later conclusion: not butterflies or moths but probably stinkbugs..
With a little imagination, help from a friend, and photoshop removal, it's not entirely possible to not get the main line look on a preserved line other than the gcr.
Running wrong line and collective mix of coaches, 60007 heads through Ferry Meadows on the 7th of April 2023.
Please note shot taken from a position of safety and not on the railway boundary as it may seem.

Something for Nothing by RUSH:
Waiting for the winds of change,
To sweep the clouds away,
Waiting for the rainbow's end,
To cast its gold your way,
Countless ways,
You pass the days.
Waiting for someone to call,
And turn your world around,
Looking for an answer,
To the question you have found,
Looking for,
An open door.
You don't get something for nothing,
You can't have freedom for free,
You won't get wise,
With the sleep still in your eyes,
No matter what your dreams might be.
What you own is your own kingdom,
What you do is your own glory,
What you love is your own power,
What you live is your own story,
In your head is the answer,
Let it guide you along,
Let your heart be the anchor,
And the beat of your song.
A new angle for me of Dunsanburgh Castle, taken on a rocky outcrop out to see at low tide (only accessible then and limited time on it as its awkward to walk it with the rocks) IF you were to get caught out tide wise, then its fine as its high enough for you to stay dry luckily I guess! nice scout mission for a better shot with more colour and a better sky
J747 rolls down the Amoco Branch in Channahon with three units, a relativley uncommon amount of power for this train. A GP40-2, a road slug, and the road slug mother GP40-2 made for a nice show on this little train.
Regina/Evil Queen quotes from Once upon a time
"Oh please, I was torturing people back when you were still playing with puppies."
"Those two might be tactless morons but they couldn't magic their way out of a paper bag."
"Let me be clear, ladies. If you bring up my former sins around my son again, you'll find yourselves across that town line faster than you can say costume jewelry."
"Always a villain, even when I'm not."
Many thanks to you ALL for the views, faves and comments you make on my shots it is very appreciated.
There is no center post roof support. It was a first in structural engineering. Yorkminster Chapter House.
Australian crake (Porzana fluminea), also known as Australian spotted crake, or spotted crake
Something’s interesting, something’s wriggling
In this puddle of mud and rotten vegetation
Red eyes staring and the green beak pointing
A sumptuous meal requires much dedication
I have not seen as others; I have not been as others.

Pinstripe Longhorn Beetle (Syllitus rectus)
I thought 'Pinstripe Pat' deserved another look. He found something tasty to eat on the Common Ivy flower
I will catch up this afternoon but we are out this evening. Sarah has her graduation dinner as she finishes primary school.
