Solar lights in my patio.

This image was taken BEFORE the boardwalk bollard lights switched on for the evening.

Striving to be creative with my presentations, I lined up the extremely bright setting sun directly behind the fixture to produce the effect of an electric source.

The scenic, Steveston Heritage Fishing Villiage is a charming fishing village that is situated in Richmond BC on the Mighty Fraser River

Definitely one of British Columbia's best kept secrets.

This is from last year. We left them out all winter, and they didn't survive.

We don't often get snow in Upstate South Carolina, but this time we did. It put little snow hats on all of these solar pathway lights.

The recent eclipse of the giant moon left everyone in awe so I decided that my three solar lights that reside on my balcony deserved some attention too. They may be somewhat smaller but they look exactly like the moon did and there are THREE.

... or in this case a hoverfly to a solar light!

Rearranging our bulb solar lights attracted this hoverfly - investigating the strange thing in the sky lol.

‘River walk’………New Solar Lamp posts have been installed riverside along the Victoria Avenue in Shrewsbury, they look very in keeping and with little disruption during installation - i.e. no power cables needed! Stay safe (again) Alan:-)……

Lavender plants beside my front door.

Its December here, but we got no snow in Vermont which is rather unusual for this time for the year.

Taken on my kitchen table the heart is a leaf and the light is from the solar powered light in the top of the jar.

in our foggy, cloudy town sometimes the solar lites need to be refreshed via flashlight -- but then they're kinda cool.......

Apparition

A glass butterfly in the rock garden.

I found these strings of blue starfish solar lights and thought they'd be a cheery addition to my porch.

They have several different modes with them blinking on and off...........no thank you!!

I finally got them to stop blinking and they make a nice soft blue glow all night long.

Another picture in comments shows them hanging down the porch.

ODC-A Rule You Use In Photography

I don't shoot at night very often but when I do I like to use lighting to create a little drama in my photos. These solar garden lights are an example of that. I also like to shoot low. I think it makes the photo nicer.
