amorphous silicon (a-si) solar cells have a higher bandgap than crystalline silicon(c-si), which means it absorbs the visible part of the solar spectrum more strongly than the infrared portion of the spectrum. Amorphous silicon(a-si) technology has significant performance and cost advantages over traditional crystalline (c-si)PV modules.

Close-up view of “Vending Machine with Solar Panel.”

The vending machine has an indicator to tell how much power is being generated now. When I went this spot, the sun was at the south. Since the solar panel faces west, indicator’s needle is not so high.

Nu har jag blivit elproducent! Det gick åt en hel del grejor och en massa arbete, men nu är det klart. Hoppas nu att solen skiner så mycket som möjligt framöver.

I now am a proud owner of a powerplant! Lots of gadgets and work needed but now finally finished. Let´s hope the sun will shine as much as possible from now on.
