Blossom end rot in tomatoes is a physiological disorder in which the tissue at the end of the fruit turn brown, leathery rot. It starts with a dry, brown lesion the size of a dime and generally increases in diameter. This is due to improper irrigation and due to calcium deficiency and it will not spread from one plant to another plant.
