During a walk along my local disused railway line I came across an old apple tree growing close to where the signal box for a station and goods sidings once stood.
The flora of the Andes National Park Cotopaxi (Ecuador) is rich in plants with delicate flowers, but unfortunately, for the most part, I don't know their names. But I'll show them to you anyway, they are very pretty!

we are picking up Elsie from school this afternoon (yippee!) and staying over in east London for an evening meal. Peter is cooking chicken and chorizo lasagne (a Spanish take on an Italian dish) which has become a family favourite. Back soon .. .

Photography gives us a chance to see just how things are done in nature. This Bumble Bee has four legs out ready to land on the Coreopsis flower. They fly and land with such grace. This was taken with a telephoto lens.
