Concurso Soapbox México 2016. Atizapan de Zaragoza.
Para participar en esta peculiar carrera no sólo necesitas ser veloz, también debes tener mucho estilo y entusiasmo para poder ganar.
Cada año, en todo el mundo se realiza esta competencia de autos denominados soapbox (caja de jabón) donde grupos de concursantes diseñan sus propios coches apegados a una temática. Piloto y equipo deben caracterizarse de acuerdo con el estilo de su auto para competir y dar el mejor espectáculo.
El objetivo de la carrera es hacer el recorrido lo más rápido posible por una pendiente que le da el impulso al auto, ya que estos no cuentan con motor alguno. En el camino hay retos adicionales como obstáculos, donde se tiene que maniobrar rápidamente, o rampas en las que los coches salen proyectados y deben resistir la caída. Algunos después del vuelo, no vuelven a rodar.

don't know if this is toooooo late given the event is happening this weekend
but i remembered taking this photo in january on devonshire street in surry
hills. at the time, the wall was temporary and covered a building that was
about to be developed. now i walk pass every week on the way to the actors
centre and can see the lovers that even death couldn't separate are no
longer there..

Making progress on the soapbox race car brakes. This was actually weeks ago when the support plates were welded into my wheels.
