My attempt at the "Smile on Saturday" theme "Soap on Black Background".

These two soaps are made from olive oil. The white « Savon de Marseille » is traditionally made by mixing sea water from the Mediterranean Sea, olive oil, and the alkaline ash from sea plants together in a large cauldron and then heated for several days while being stirred continuously.
The black « Savon noir » is made from olive oil and macerated black olives along with salt and potash resulting in a gel-like consistency.
A closeup of the small travel size bar of Mountain Escape lemongrass soap we are using on vacation on our own mountain escape! 😀🌸 HMM 😀
I love many things in Middle East. If I fly there with one bag, I come back with three. Soap, made of pure olive oil, is probably one thing I always bring back with me. There was a small family-held business in Tripoli (Lebanon), that used to make soaps for the last couple of hundred years. They had wide variety of scents, colors and shapes.
I couldn't pass by, although hubby insisted I absolutely stopped at the 10th bar :p
Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
