Here's the soap in it's native habitat, along with the handy scoop that comes with it.
I was initially concerned about the paper wrapper, but it is lined with plastic, and after about 30 loads it has held up to being opened and closed repeatedly. I don't want to leave it open since humidity here hovers around 99%, and that's before you start the washer and dryer. I guess I could put it in a rubbermaid or something.
Marshmallow peep soaps in assorted colors. I finally got my purple green and orange done. I wish the purple was brighter, but still think it turned out cute.
I went back, and checked the soap a few minutes after posting about it, and opened it up to see it almost looking black. So this is the stage where it went to gel

CATHRYN DAMON
My first attempt at soap making. This batch is a coconut oil, olive oil, and canola oil soap with ground steel-cut oats mixed in.
This batch will now need to cure for about 4-6 weeks before it can be used.
Bars cut into ~3.5oz sized bars. I'm leaving them rustic looking since I'm not sure this batch is going to work out due to some concerns about the coconut oil used in it.

Handmade with fine, luxurious ingredients, these pretty soaps have a very decadent and truly chocolatey aroma (Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Amour de Cacao type), a blend of dark chocolate, fig, orange zest, almonds, and a hint of vanilla.
So I had 8 bars of Ivory soap I didn't want to just throw out. So I melted them down with Glycerin, Avocado Butter, Water, Color and FO, and VOILA! The icky old Ivory soap has now been re-born as a rustic looking bar of soap with better skin softening properties. Still has all the yucky chemicals in it, but is good enough for garden and garage soap!
