βοΈFirst Snow of 2021!!βοΈ
So I'm low key proud of these!! It was the first snow storm of 2021 and I really wanted to try night photography in the snow!
I went to a local business park where my friend has her business so I felt relatively safe and like I wasn't going to be murdered!!
I was super happy to be able to shoot using the available light from the street lamps! I actually did pack my external studio flashes though was super nervous about using them in the snow cuz they aren't weather sealed. Really happy they could stay in the car--one less thing to carry around!!
I stuffed my camera in one of those rain-resistant bags, set up my tripod, and had a blast!! I ended up shooting mostly at 180mm for the more narrow field of view, otherwise you'd see the business park building around me which weren't terribly photogenic nor interesting.
It did mean at times I had to set up the tripod like across the parking lot and had to climb over a snow-mountain from the plows!! Let me tell you, climbing a snow mountain in heels is no bueno!! Sigh, the things I do for the fashion and for the shoot! π
Hope you like these pics!!! I'd love to hear what you think!!
Take care of you!!!

With a chance too good to miss, I bailed early at Kildare to get a few snow shots. The 0530 Limerick - Heuston heads away from Kildare in the snow, as another passenger heads for cover
Made for Make It Interesting, Challenge #2 - Shell & Mime
Starter image with thanks to Temari 09.
Also thanks to
rubyblossom for the background
pareeerica and agatauw for their textures
lighthelper for the 'see no evil' figure
snowshot for the 'speak no evil' figure
Clouds: my own (too ordinary to upload)

Two GP35-3s run "lite" back to Rook Yard through Western Pennsylvania. Shot on the sight of the former Montour Railroad and Champion Coal Washer near Imperial, Pa.
#105 leads WE643 up the Westland Branch through "Big Cut" as it makes its way towards Westland yard with 70 empty LPG cars.
The haunting headlight peers out into the heavy snowfall, it's host being a YN2 AC44 as it leads it's train under the loadout at Lynch 3. Winter time brings nightfall earlier than usual; Dragon is in the engineer seat as they begin to load the 110 car export train in the chilling January evening.
The Wheeling & Lake Erie's SD40-3s look good in the snow as #3068 starts to build the days WE643 train to Westland.

Snow captured the Netherlands today. Almost 15 centimeters fell in my village. I tried to make many shots, but the snow was falling to hard the whole day. After 6 o'clock, it finally stopped snowing and I went outside to make some nightshot. this Seat Ibiza came driving in and I tried to make some nice shots of it. I have to say, this is my first good nightshot and my first good snowshot. Not really a special car, but there is nothing to see here in my village, so you have to deal with this one! Hope you like it, not so much editing on this one.
