some snappers coming back from a boat trip

A closeup of a red snapper that Matt and Ken caught while deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

I guess I'm going to end up with a fleet of Snapper lawnmowers. My old Snapper SR1642 has been giving me fits (and I have almost destroyed the deck) so I checked around and found another one to use while I repair mine. This one is a year newer (1997) Snapper SR1028 (upgraded to an SR1030 since the deck was swapped) that my dad somehow ended up with in one of his trades..

Anyway, I had to swap my Honda for it. Hopefully I will be able to fix my old mower and get my Honda back.

(At least it fits all the way in the bed of my truck, though. My SR1642 is too wide to fit between the fender-wells)

Visit to the new sections of Trincity Mall (I haven't been there much, it's all still new to me). Snappers, a restaurant that's merged with the pizza (brick-oven) place I cannot recall the name of.

Snapper Ala-Licia: I created this recipe for Alicia McGraw. You Ask, I Deliver! The ingredients she wanted me to create a recipe from were red snapper, shrimp, chipotle peppers and scallions. I pan seared the snapper, made a chipotle cream sauce with scallions, leeks, white wine, andouille sausage and a little thyme. Topped off with grilled lobster and shrimp.

A trip out with the snappers.

Snapper (Pagrus auratus) being a pain and getting in the way at Goat island, Leigh, New Zealand. I'm sure they would have had my ears if I hadn't been wearing a hood.

There was a snapper tearing up the grass in the back yard when we woke up. When I took Calee to her room near the front of the house she kept yelling turtle. When I looked out there was another one on the front yard. All in all they dug 6 holes and planted 5 eggs in one nest near the driveway. When we looked them up online it said the average snapper would lay 25-30 eggs so I don't think she was done. At any rate I picked them both up by their tails and put them into a 5 gallon bucket and dumped them back in the pond. I think I'm going to have to move them both to a lake nearby in order to save the lawn.
