Es ist noch zu kalt, die Hausbesitzerin hat sich noch in ihrem Haus eingeschlossen. - It´s still cold, the house-owner is still encase.

no photo-manipulation, i just used the cover of a glossy car-magazine for the shoot. found this empty snailshell in the garden this afternoon, not knowing what to do with it, when all of a sudden the idea sprung in mind.

Daily in October, today with the Pentax-M 100 f4 macro at f8.

Was it something you would do for anybody? Was it what you'd only do for me?

A lichen-covered stick, an empty snail shell and a handful of bokeh - what more could a girl ask for?

I came across this rather big snail shell on the forest floor, Munich Olympic Park.

this is in-progress...but the first hurdle is done!

2. hesitates...

About 7mm long. Perched in a vertical position just inside a door frame. Introduced species in Australia.

I liked the texture and pattern, so I took a picture. The other day the internet was out and I had to be somewhere in not too long, so with a little time to kill I edited this all to hell, and now ... I dunno if I like it or not. Doesn't matter, uploading it anyway. YOU NEED TO SEE THIS SNAIL SHELL, right?

G found these at our house, we were both totally fascinated.

Three shell´s from edible snails.

After yesterday's big NYC Doing, we had almost no turnaround until embarking on our trip to Dallas. WOOOO! Our flight was an excellent time thanks to a two-player version of Sushi Go that had everyone around us, passengers and flight attendants alike, begging to know what game we were playing. It's so fun!

But even more fun? Being in Dallas with Patty! We got in around late dinnertime, rolled right into Uncle Julio's for our traditional margarita/sangria swirls, and then got down to the real business of the week: Bananagrams. Life? Is grand.

Hanging out at my friend's house in Bedford, I realized there was a little still life on the deck in front of me.

Equisetum variegatum 'Variegated Horsetail', I don't know how the snail shell got on the tip of this Equisetum. This spot is not an area frequented by many people. Edworthy Park, Horsetail Family, Equisetaceae, 2008 27 Aug_2792acr
