I almost destroyed my brand new 60D while setting up this shot. I underestimated how far the waves were coming up onto the shore, and after I had my tripod all set up for the shot, a big wave came. Not thinking at first....I ran away from the wave as I didn't want to get my clothes all wet....it was at that point where the wave started to knock over my tripod, so I dove back towards the camera and barely saved it.....getting soaked in the process. :)

A capture along a mountain river in the Polish Tatra mountains I wanted to get a smooth look to the flow so used 3 ND filters and a long exposure to create this image. Not perfect but I was quite please with the outcome.

The Witch Head nebula in Orion.
Camera: QHY163M
Scope: Celestron C14 Hyperstar
Focal length: 675mm f/1.9
Exposures:
Red - 12 x 90s
Blue - 46 x 90s
Green - no data
This was the best of a bad job. Didn't get any green data due to cloud, so I made a synthetic green from the red and blue. I also lost a lot of red data due to cloud.

Smooth pink euphorbia petals with bright green stems against the bright bokeh of the sunshiny interior of the glasshouse.
After summiting Raton Pass, this westbound BNSF OCS train continues into East Raton Siding, passing by some old ATSF searchlight signals still guarding the pass!
A young, tufted capuchin.
It's a real bandit. Come not too close ... if he gets the chance, he steals from you!
Besides nuts, the capuchin also eats fruit, insects and larvae, eggs and young birds, frogs, lizards, and even bats. They are also known to chase cats!!!
This little one, lives in Mondo Verde.(Landgraaf)
Which coincidently is what is pumping out of these dinky but smooth Wharfedale Diamonds.
Also, coincidently Diamond Life is one of Sade’s best albums
Anyhoop, I’m using the Acros LUT on the LUMIX S5 ll … or someone’s interpretation of it. I still had to up the contrast to give it a high key look.

Notice the difference when comparing this snake to the rough green snake we posted a week ago? The rough green snake has tiny lines through the scales? they're called keeled scales. This snake has smooth scales.

Caught this Newt on my new 80D which is by far the best camera I've ever had or used, definitely glad I decided to buy it. I think es going to be an awesome camera to use with the big Tamron lens !
I got to find this amazing Newt because of a tip from a guy I was talking to in this area who had just been taking photos of them and pointed out the place they were, I then knew I had to find one and get a photo : )
